Pre-Shave: Occams pre-shave soap, cold water
Razor: ATT S1 with Kronos (kindly loaned by @Dragon Noir)
Blade: Voskhod (1)
Brush: Vie-Long Epsilon 2-band
Lather: Mystic Waters Bergamot, Cedarwood & Juniper
Post-shave: Alum, Barrister & Man Kyovu Original, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil​

Blade: Wilkinson Sword 'Light Brigade' (24)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson H2 Boar
Soap/Cream: D R Harris Marlborough
Aftershave: Soap Commander Integrity
Cologne: Penhaligon's Halfeti

Evening function tonight - so that means two shaves for me.

Inspired by @SpeedyPC's homage to his Jermyn Street TOBS purchase (lovely shop I can see it now) I decided to grab my Burlington Arcade Penhaligon's purchase.

Really nice cologne this (but would want to be) - I think I will be the best shaven and nicest smelling bloke in the room, if I do say so myself !

It is good to at least make an effort to be presentable when going out with your wife ;)

Me too, as a rule I try not to go out with any more than 4 holes in my t shirt or shirts.

Excellent shave tonight, 'twas a hybrid only 'cos I'm still a bit of chicken with the new meds - however - I have/had one remaining practice blade for honing so after lunch I set about just playing around with my hones. I recently acquired a set of slate hones with slurry stones so after setting a bevel on a 1k stone, which always takes me a long time, I used the slate hones and they performed very well. I finished on my Cnat then linen and leather. A practice razor is now in my razor roll and no longer a honing practice tool.

Brush: Synthetic
Soap: My Lime, Peppermint clove Tallow home brew
Razors: Bengall Imperial 6/8" and Schick adjustable
The freshly honed Bengall shaved beautifully.

2 passes and DFS

No cuts,nick or blood.

A pleasant Sunday night shave using Arko Adventure Shaving cream. There's a few different scents to chose from and I reckon the cream performs really well. This particular scent is fresh and perhaps slightly herbal, but very subtle. The 1305 is getting there - I think, but she definitely is taking her time. Lather shot can be seen here

Post Shave: Razorock Lime balm and Floid Vigoroso AS
Two pass shave with a clean up. This blade is not quite right in this razor, but still gave me a DFS. The MWF is a good performer but post shave shines. The Standard continues to impress and I am enjoying it immensely.

Would have been one of my top shave of the year but unfortunately I did a wrong move and cut myself. Like some capricious painter who just scrapped a masterpiece, I put down my razor and didn't finished the job. Was a nice shave tho, close, very close...

Usual other accompaniments.
Great shave.

The soap that just keeps on carrying on. Admittedly it doesn't get as many shaves as the menthol soaps do, but it's been a fairly regular soap in the rotation since it was bought in a group buy organised by @Pjotr back in 2012.

Well the Occam's was passed to me from @filobiblic thank you very much. Well this for me was a real bucket of nuts and bolts in that initial scent mild then lathered which was excellent and applied I got a wiff of what smelt like Kiwi Shoe Polish. Then shortly after a scent of slight fruitiness so I can't figure it out weird. It's application was good but I found on the second pass that the soap appeared to dry out a fair bit and the blade was dragging but no unpleasant irritation of any kind. All in all I'd give it a 8/10.

Such a great shave yesterday afternoon I figured I would do the same today!

After shaving twice yesterday I was loathe to do so again today but have another function this evening. No problem I thought - miss this morning, work from home and jsut shave late this afternoon. Only thing in my diary is a teleconference this afternoon ...


... oh, wait, that is a VIDEO conference - shave done in double quick time, shirt and tie donned and looking very professional. ;)

In other news I think I might be calling the Light Brigade done. Will test it tomorrow morning but I think that the glory is fading ...
