Pre: Shower
Brush: M&F 2XL Finest
Soap: APR - Suitable Attired Australian
Razor: Merkur 45c
Blade: Derby Premium (thanks again @King of Authentic Shave)
Post: TSW After Balm, APR - SAA Splash, APR - SAA EDP.

I have been holding off using this soap because I didn't have the splash to go with it. I think I've only used it once. Finally got around to getting the splash AND EDP so eagerly dragged it today. Technically this is a summer scent - I think - since it's citrus/floral - or something. (I stand with @Mark1966 when it comes to scent descriptions) but was very well received today. Menthol in the balm was not!! 5hrs on and still smelling strong. Sweeeeeet.

Continuing my diversion into DE's; This razor is usually paired with a Ladas but decided to drag out the Derby for another try. Very good result (two pass BBS-) with the only complaint being it's not as smooth (in this razor) as the Ladas. Still, far better than a standard Derby.

Razorock Stealth Slant
Polsilver SI
Paladin
Australian Private Reserve "Fougere Bourbon Rose" Combo

Another excellent shave with Australian Private Reserve products. I get a complex sweet floral scent with a hint of the fougere in the background. Performance is top notch as I have come to expect. The hardware was pretty good too......

No picture tonight but it did happen.
Razor: Tanifuji 11/16" Straight point
Brush: Semogue 2000 Boar
Soap: My personal stash.
Single pass DFS with very minor clean up on a couple of spots.
For tonights shave I decided to go basic "Grand Pa" and do a very efficient shave. Of the blades I have this Tanifuji while having the appearance of an Ebay reject, shaves as well or better than any blade I have. Very close shave with no irritation and although I could have easily gone BBS with an extra pass, a single pass was a really satisfying shave. I would never have thought I would get a handle on straight shaving but persistence pays off.

Pre-Shave: @khun_diddy Olive Oil Soap, cold water
Razor: BBS-1
Blade: Ladas (1)
Brush: Paladin Chief Strawberry Amber
Lather: Phoenix & Beau Baskerville from P&C travelling box 4b
Post-shave: Alum, Stirling Bay Laurel Witch Hazel, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Great Friday afternoon shave with the travelling box - lather shot is here and the review here - hope you all have a great weekend ahead (y)

Soap: MWF
Brush: TGN 2 band finest
Razor: Bombay Shaving Company w/aggressive plate
Blade: PolSilver SI
Balm: Shaving Station - Kaffir Lime ASB

So, today I pulled out my very old 20mm TGN 2 band finest. This is the old school TGN knot, before they moved to the gel-tip 2 band finest in 2012. My TGN is basically the perfect scrubber WITHOUT any scritch! It's just fantastic! I had the knot which I stuck in a vintage faux-tortoise handle. It was inadvertently set quite deep (45mm loft) so has a heap of backbone.
I sold off all my badger brushes back in 2011 and this is the only one I kept. I don't use it often just because it's a pure bulb, where as I prefer hybrid/fan knots but I think I'll be using it more often just because it's a delight to use....whips up a great lather, gives a great scrub and is just awesome!!

The Bombay Shaving Company razor is a Rockwell 6S-esque concept with two plates. It was unintentional as they released a razor and had many customers wanting more aggressiveness so released a more aggressive base plate, which suits me quite well. The handle is very long (longer than a long handle Progress) but it's well balanced.

Not much to say about the blade and soap...the Polsilver is my only blade and just awesome! I tend to use MWF once a week (a stark contrast from when I used it 5 times a week a couple of years back). It's just fantastic stuff and I wish I could use it more often but with 80 soaps in rotation, it's unlikely that'll happen.

Brush: - Semogue 1250 22/55mm
Cream/Soap: - Sunhill Skin Essentials Goat's Milk made in Australia :banghead::mad::shifty: WARNING!! don't buy it.
Razor: - Colonial Razors "The General" SE with iKon Bulldog Handle
Blade: - Kai Captain Titan Mild (Pink) #10
Post: - Lucky Tiger Aftershave Lotion / Bulldog Original Aftershave Balm

WARNING!! Don't buy the Sunhill Skin Essentials Goat's Milk (made in Australia) because this soap doesn't give me any cushion because the lather becomes very thin very quickly and the slickness is just weak, I've been loading the boar brush for about 2mins and there was enough lather on the brush and when I started face lathering the soap starting to collapse very quickly. I started to add a bit of water along the way and the lather was starting to build up, and then starting to collapse again, lucky for me I've managed to give a good 3 pass shave and not a single nicks and cuts however I had a small skin irritation and it wasn't too bad.

This is the worst soap I've ever seen made by an Australian what a total shame  and I really hate to say this, which is very simple DON'T buy it is not really worth it :(:cautious::shy:

@Mark1966 could you please either remove Sunhill Skin Essentials Goat's Milk off the Australian Artisan Producers list or give them a big WARNING!! sign :shifty:

So I'm going to PIF the Sunhill Skin Essentials Goat's Milk shaving soap in the trash can OR would you like to have a bloody crack at this worse soap for free just PM me.

Thought this would probably be the case - ingredients list was not promising...

Don't chuck it though - travelling box so others can test :)

Before you trash the soap: try it as a pre-shave. More often than not, it will be a great pre-shave soap...

Brush: Omega Synthetic Hi-Brush
Soap: Proraso Green
Razor: Rockwell 6s - R4
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (4)
Lotion: Omega Alum Stick / Barbasol 'Brisk' After Shave

The Gillette Silver Blue is a fine blade paired with the Rockwell's R4 base plate, producing a smooth and very close shave. The Barbasol splash is another retro lotion that I have tried of late, largely from curiosity, and I would liken it to giving a vintage blade a go. A number of these lotions are available locally for a pittance.

Brush: Vie-Long Horse
Soap: B&M, Seville
Razor: Gem Micromatic OC
Blade: Gem SS (4)
Post: APR, Jasmine and white tea & balm

A close shave
I picked up the Micromatic OC from the USA to complete the Micromatic family.
I proceeded with caution with a three pass shave. No surprises this is the most aggressive of the Micromatics and I could definitely feel the blade. Most of the work done on the first pass and a trouble free BBS after three. Great SE but not one I would use if I was in a hurry.

Enjoy your shaves and have a great day.

Patience whilst creating the lather is paramount. Took the time to build up my lather patiently, rewarded with a great lather for a wonderful shave. Enjoy your shaves.

Thoughts...
- I've been stuck in a rut using the same kit so often there was no need to post. I've been in love with the Gillette New SC with Squadron Soap's The Warden and PAA Sancre De Draco for the 2 weeks since Melbourne and that monotonous week of 1 soap. I needed to change it up to find the love again! Thank goodness the travelling box is coming because I think I have the wetshaving rut blues.

Razor: Gillette Tech
Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (1)
Brush: Maggard 22mm Synth
Soap: Stirling Executive Man
Post: Stirling Executive Man PSB

I shaved with my normal blade Astra SP yesterday and after trying feathers the Astras seem too dull. As a result I am continuing my blade exploration with the Polsiver Super Iridium blades which I hear good things about. They delivered a tugging-free shave which got the job done comfortably. I did get one cut but that is to be expected moving from duller to sharper. I am definitely looking forward to seeing how many shaves I can push this blade before I have to bin it. If it can do a good number then these may become my new daily driver.
