Razor: Gillette Toggle (2)
Blade(s): Feather (2)
Brush: Simpsons Super Chubby 2
Soap/Cream: Wholly Kaw Fougere Bouquet
Post: Dickinsons With Hazel

Set the toggle back to "2" and still too aggressive. Will try "1" next but loving the scent of the soap!

Razor: Vintage Gillette NEW head on TSW Bren Handle
Blade: Vintage NOS English Wilkinson Sword (1)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson 'The Duke'
Soap/Cream: Australian Private Reserve (APR) Fougère Bourbon Rose shaving soap
Aftershave Splash: Australian Private Reserve (APR) Fougère Bourbon Rose splash
Aftershave Balm: Australian Private Reserve (APR) Fougère Bourbon Rose balm
Cologne: N/A

Now THAT is a shave!

Lovely combination of one of the best razor head designs ever - the Gillette NEW - with the heft and balance of the TSW Bren handle. It FEELS light a razor to use - oh yeah baby :)

The APR Fougère Bourbon Rose is an exceptional scent and wow does it deliver with the usual easy to lather soap and incredible splash and balm.

Now we are talking shaving (y)

Outside? Yeah, Canberra is cold again -

So have you got the Model T yet?
Not yet..it's taking for ever.
I'm acctually quite disappointed in the delay on this, after all it's not new ground they are treading then the zinc alloy stuff...

Another 3 pass BBS. This soap gave me the best lather it ever has today. Loaded more in the big boar, added water slowly and it yielded up some decent density this time. I got some irritation but I'm convinced that was operator error in letting the angle get too steep going ATG.

On a cold day the post shave from this soap really does require some further AS/ASB product though... it's a little dry out there!

Long or short comb?

As for the weather, good reason not to live there. And comes summer.

Loving mine, has changed me for the good.
Shaved on Monday morning with a three day growth with the Guerrilla shimmed (+1) and loved it!
Alot of fun, smooth and carefree like the razor is not shimmed. Little more blade feel and bumped the aggressiveness up way more than I expected.
Great results and will do it again. Falling in love with modern DEs that secure/clamp the blade in place and close to the leading edge.
Making me tired of those bitey razors especially vintage ones.

What an awesome shave this was. 4 days of growth, since I've been dealing with my first hit of food poisoning in my life haha. Not a fun time when you don't get sick often, needed something very relaxing and what I knew worked well. Got my SE1 back from the amazing Stan at @abovethetie and used the gorgeous @thatdarnrob brush. Feeling much better now! Hope everyone is doing well

Re-lather and warm rinse

Yet another 3 pass BBS and no damage - not even concentrating that much. I'm now subscribing to the theory that an aggressive razor does better with a less sharp blade and a mild razor does better with a very sharp blade. Unless this blade is an outlier, this razor and blade combo is turning out great after all...

The synth did a great job although it does take a lot of re-dipping in the basin to get enough water into a generous serving of Arko! The stuff just doesn't break down but keeps taking water until it eventually gets to the point where it is nearly dripping off my face - which is just about perfect...
