Out of the brushes i own it is my favourite and daily driver. My 2 badger brushes never get used since i got the maggards brush and my soc boar brush only comes out when i feel like something different. I feel like i get more lather with less soap and can work the lather up a lot faster than with the natural hair brushes. It did take a while to adjust to the synthetic brush but i wouldnt go back now.

Thanks Mate! Yes... that's exactly my experience... although, as I said, I'm not totally on top of it yet. I can't imaging it won't be my goto brush... although I adore my Culmak butterecotcj 84!

Razor: Slim (3)
Blade: Nacet (2)
Soap: PBgoose bay lime
Brush: high mountain badger
Post: nothing, not even the alum block

This was a fantastic combination, my skin was a bit dry yesterday but I thought I'd put the post shave of this soap to the test and my skin feels better today than it did yesterday which is a nice thing.
Glad to have a slim back in the stable as well, such a nice razor, almost as good as a basic English Gillette ;)

Soap/Cream: B&M Petrichor

I think I may have had a bit of a dodgy blade over the last few days .. Polsilver on second shave was "biting" me and after third shave was no better. Usually a third shave would require a little more pressure. So swapped out for another Polsilver and apart from the remnants of yesterday's shave, it feels good again. Petrichor was a great scent today and I think I am finally getting the hang of the new brush (two weeks!!)

Soap: APR Bay City
Brush: Zenith
Razor: Puma 6/8"
Post: Jojoba/APR Alfredus Choice AS
Loaded up too much water to start with and ended up with a bowl full of foam. Worked it on the face and... there it was, same creamy luscious lather as yesterday.
Inconsequential nick on the chin to remind me to pay attention. Not quite as good as shave as yesterday but up there.

Hmmmmm yes......... I have had a couple of dodgy experiences with Polsilvers biting & dragging on a second use... I don't use them any more... just stick with Russian blades mainly now. I have even wondered if there are some fake Pols out there. The ones I used a few months ago were okay, but the latest ones I bought in June were bloody awful!

Shower
Rockwell 6s (5) with Lord Racer blade (10)
New (ex Faulding) "Shave" Cream
Omega S10005
Re-lather and warm rinse

From walk in to walk out I had 10 minutes to shave today. So I just grabbed this tube and the synth and did a quick job of it with no damage at all. Still managed three passes plus a re-lather during that time with a very close to BBS result. Can't argue with that... I reckon the combination of a blade that is not too sharp anymore, with a decent amount of aggression is the ideal combo for a quick shave. Either that, or a mild razor with a sharp blade... The Rockwell gives both options - plate 5 is probably too aggressive when the blade is new but is perfect for this end of proceedings.

I might try with my next blade starting off at plate 3 and then increasing the plate every couple of shaves up to plate 6.

That Puma is almost pretty enough to convert me to straight shaving! Almost!

@RazorPlay are you 100% sure you've had 10 shaves with a Lord Racer blade using an R5 base plate during your shave????????

Yep - shave ten and doing fine - all 3 pass shaves (WTG/ATG/ATG). I might chuck it in plate 6 for tomorrow just to see how far it will go. I was able to shave really fast this morning with great results - it was very impressive. This is the second time I've pushed one of these blades this far and the results are consistent. Even in my Fatip Grande open comb (a relatively aggressive DE) they don't cause any damage after this many shaves - there is a bit of resistance ATG but if I just push through that without bearing down all is well.

Give Freddy a big  for you're plate R6 on your next shave soon with a fresh new blade :sneaky:

I usually use plate 5 for a new blade but I'm going to try 3 next time. I was planning to push this blade to 11 shaves on plate 6 just to see what happens.

Quotes not working for me .. this was from a same pack batch which have been great up til now .. hopefully only a small problem with a blade or two!
