Razor: Colonial Razors – The General
Blade: Schick P-30 (1)
Brush: Maseto
Soap: B&M 42
Post: Witchhazel, Bulldog Balm

Fresh blade, top kit, great soap.
Lather shot here.

Pre: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Semogue SOC Boar
Soap: Mike's Lemongrass and Eucalyptus

Razor: Merkur Futur (2)
Blade: Vintage Gillette Super Silver (5)
Post: Osma Aftershave balm
EDT: Knize Ten

Leisurely Fathers Day morning shave before lunch with my lads. The Mike's lather was super-slick as usual, and a refreshing and comforting scent.
The Futur continues to perform flawlessly, and the vintage Super Silver blade works really well with this razor. BBS after three passes.
Finished off with the inimitable Knize Ten.

Razor: GEM 'E' bar
Blade: GEM (1)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson 'M1'
Soap/Cream: Henri et Victoria Cognac and Cuban Cigars shaving soap
Aftershave Splash: Henri et Victoria Cognac and Cuban Cigars splash
Cologne: N/A

All this talk of tobacco and whisky just MADE me give the HeV a run!

Razor: gem 1912
Blade: gem ss (new)
Soap: B&M sandalwood
Brush: high mountain badger

This was a sub par shave, no idea why but it was uncomfortable, too close and boy that alum stung

Pre: Shower
Soap: Washpool Original
Brush: Zenith Boar
Razor: Asylum Rx
Blade: Feather Pro Super
Post: Jojoba Oil
I was somewhat reticent to step back in the ring with the Asylum Rx today with my face still a little raw from yesterday. I decreased the angle and things improved a lot from yesterday with very few weepers but still managed to take a couple of chunks out of myself. This is the only razor I have that has had me looking for an alum block ( I don't own one). The Asylum Rx makes my R41 look like a beginners razor.
I never do this much damage with my straights. The end result was a pretty good shave but was it worth the blood loss? I concede defeat again today. The razor can wait til I get some milder blades to try.

Brush: Wee Scot
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Razor: Ever Ready, 1914
Blade: Gem SS
Post: Nivea, Nivea

The Wee Scot came today so I had to give it a go. It really is small brush! but it made some great lather, back to the puck between passes of course. It's going to make a great travel brush
Continuing SEptember I thought l would use my SE's in chronological order. Following yesterday's Damaskeene today is the 1914 and another great shave. More efficient than a Damaskeene or a 1912 it really can deliver a close shave.
Between the Mitchell's and the Nivea duo a great face feel

:eek::eek: Sounds like handful @Pbgoose ! Hope the different blades sort it out for you.
Thanks @Benjamin. As it turns out, I brought it all on myself. :ROFLMAO: I should have done my homework first before wading in to the slaughter. Apparently Feather Pro Supers are 0.2mm wider than Feather Pro, and I think Captain Titan Mild are narrower again. So no wonder I was shredding myself, the Pro Super actually sticks out further from the razor. I ordered some Captain Titan Mild and Feather Pro blades to try. Hopefully by the time the blades arrive I'll have grown the skin back on my chin. :)

Maximum blade feel!
I've been on the SE blade learning curve too with "The General". For me the Feather Pro's are good, but Schick P-30 blades are a little smoother.

Wow, what a shave. Been a terrible skin week this week for some reason and to top it off, gave myself a decent nick on Friday. Took the day off yesterday and came back with a lunchtime shave today. Being Spring, though I would kick it off with a nice fresh fragrance. Just unreal shave. Even on #2, I can get a really near BBS shave with the Rockwell, zero worry.

Happy Father's day...

I've gone to R4 as my daily setting but i totally agree that even the R2 shaves better than most razors out there.

I feel the blade gap is just one aspect of razor efficiency. The 34c has a larger blade gap but i can't get even a DFS from it!
