Razorock "Wunderbar"
Voskhod
Jeff Huck Declaration
Mystic Waters "Lemon Verbena"

Evening shave before the working week starts and wanted a shave that would get me through until Tuesday morning. The Wunderbar was just the ticket. IMO the razor is unfairly labelled as being aggressive, I find it to be wonderfully smooth and extremely efficient. It does require very good technique and a light touch and I can understand how some may nick or cut themselves or use too much pressure and get irritation. Not an everyday razor for me due to the level of efficiency and also due to the additional concentration it requires compared to my preferred daily drivers. Nonetheless it is an exceptionally good razor and as such it is unlikely it will ever leave my den.

The declaration knot is incredible. Only my second use and whilst the brush is very dense and presents very strong backbone the tips are smooth as silk. A small amount of scrub still but I am expecting this will go away as teh brush breaks in a little. The combination of the brush and the Mystic Waters soap created a magnificent lather that can be seen here Lather Shots.

Hope you have all had a great weekend!

Currently on hold to the mobile provider for my kids phones trying to sort out a problem, 34 minutes in and they are still apologising because of higher than normal call volumes

That sort of day

So you're complaining about a telco's lack of service after only being on hold for 34 minutes? Bloody impatient tear-arse!!! Try Vodafone... where you wait at least an hour before getting a deaf-mute who arrived on the latest plane from Kerala or Mumbai!

I know, have a busy day, so I'm being a little impatient.

44 minute wait for a 2 minute conversation which *hopefully* has solved the issue ...

Brush: Simpson Chubby 2 Super Badger

Soap: Barrister & Mann Lavanille

Very close 3 pass shave. Lavanille is an experience; intoxicating scent and rich, creamy beige suds.
Outstanding residual slickness and post-shave feel.
Finished with the spicy Dezember scent from Berlin's Erik Kormann.

Thoughts...
- Good start to the week with a lovely Monday shave. Cannot get over how great a performance I get from Razorock soaps considering the price... and this is an old formula. It's helps that I'm not allergic Hahaha.

Brush: Semogue 620
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Razor: Gem Micromatic Clog Pruf
Blade: Gem Micromatic reversible
Post: APR, Jasmine & White tea, Ginger & White tea

Great shave with the Cog Pruf, paired with the vintage Micromatic double edge blade. The blade felt remarkably smooth and cut like a dream, not bad for a 70 year old carbon Steele blade. I think I will use all the Micromatics this week and use all the, numbered, sides of this blade.

Enjoy the week, it'll soon be Friday.

Razor: GEM 'E' bar
Blade: GEM (7)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson 'The Duke'
Soap/Cream: Henri et Victoria Cognac & Cuban Cigars shaving soap
Aftershave Splash: Henri et Victoria Cognac & Cuban Cigars splash
Aftershave Splash: Henri et Victoria Cognac & Cuban Cigars balm
Cologne: Australian Henri et Victoria Cognac & Cuban Cigars EDP

He does a bodywash and a pomade in this scent too - too much?

Lovely, warming, exotic, comforting. What the soap lacks in performance (good but not great) the scent more than makes up for. Going to be a good day today -

BTW - remembering the date today in the US too.
