Glad you like the Santa Maria Novella @todras - it is nice stuff and, even better, you have the original formulation!

I am an immediate fan, it's a very good cream and I again thank you for the recommendation :)

Last night's shave was a delight.
2 passes with my tanifuji 1958 6/8"
As close as you can get with 2 passes. DFS+++++++++++++++++++++++ :)
Semogue 2000 - wow this is really coming into it's own as it breaks in even more.
One of my Lemon myrtle soaps and Macadamia nut oil with lemon myrtle to finish.

The crumbs that @todras left me :ROFLMAO:

This really is the gift that keeps on giving, I doubt I will ever hear the end of this - from the guy who scooped not 1 but 2 pucks of Valoba from right under my nose :D

Pre-Shave: Cypriotian Olive/Argan Oil soap, cold water
Razor: ATT S1 Colossus
Blade: Voskhod (2)
Brush: Whipped Dog 24mm Synthetic
Lather: Mike's Lemongrass & Eucalyptus
Post-shave: Alum, Stirling Coniferous, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Last shave in Paradise - for now :D

Hey Alfredus I've been going back and forward on a S1 for yonks. As a daily shaver what's your opinion of it.

I just had the pleasure of using it for 6 weeks straight - fantastic razor, that didn't have any problems with 8 days growth...

I'm fortunate enough to have a couple razors from Wolfman, Weber etc. - else this one would be my sole daily driver - mild, yet efficient - exactly the way I like em ;)

+1 on the S1. Absolutely my favourite razor to date that I always look forward to shaving with.

AUSTRALIA DAY SHAVE
SOAP: Shaver Heaven "Fresh"
BRUSH: Vintage Klenzo- @bald as restore and reknot
RAZOR: Ausette Safety Razor
BLADE: Gillette "Aussie Spoiler"
Tonight i went as Aussie as i could for my shave, using Aussie soap, razor and blade. The Ausette razor has not aged well. The end cap feels as rough as sandpaper and the edges are far from level. I loaded a blade and it frowned at me. The blade edge looked more like the Harbour Bridge. Usually i wouldn't go near a combo like this but i had to do it for my country. Tonight i would bleed for my country if i had to...and i did haha.
With the lightest touch i got through one complete pass but that was all. It actually wasn't as bad as i thought it would be but there was no way i was doing another pass. Fixed things up with Feather/Feather combo, a few coats of Metilsol and all was bonza.
Happy Australia Day Fellas!

Great work @boldsworth !! I was wondering if there were any Aussie made razors. Based on the performance, I won't be rushing out to find the "Ausette";)

SOTOD
Feather AC DX with Pro blade (5)
Derby Menthol cream
Omega 80266 boar
Re-lather and cold rinse

Great two pass (WTG, XTG) DFS shave with one weeper. Cream is fine to use - not much residual slickness but built a reasonably thick yoghurt lather when I used a decent amount of product (walnut). This one won't satisfy the menth heads though - hardly any to speak of although the scent was nice and light.

SOTD
Gillette Blue 2 disposable
Geo F Trumpers Rose Shaving Cream
Proraso brush
Re-lather and cold rinse

I want to improve my shaving with all my implements so tried a WTG/ATG shave here - got an 80% BBS result which could have been better if I had paid more attention to the angle. Now I know how to build proper wet lather and use no pressure etc the disposables don't clog anymore and give a pretty decent shave really. GFT Cream was OK - I tried scooping it out like a cream but it was too hard for that - need to treat it like a puck. Reasonably slick but hard to build a thick lather and broke down fast when I kept adding water. Scent was somewhat artificial. A perfectly acceptable lather but not one I will buy again - certainly not worth the retail asking price IMO.

Razor: Edwin Jagger Kelvin
Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (1)
Brush: Semogue SOC Boar
Soap: Stone Cottage Soapworks/ Australian Private Reserve Fougere
Post: Witch Hazel, Australian Private Reserve - les généraux du grand livre

2nd day using this combo. I got a much better lather out of the cream today, top marks on the scent @todras (y) . Finished the shave off with some APR after shave, which has left my face feeling great all day.

Bring on the weekend!

Cheers mate, I haven't seen many to compare but it could possibly have been a good razor in its day. Mine is an absolute stinker though, poor quality metal or mistreatment i guess
