Gillette Slim 1967
Gillette Super Stainless 1989 Made in France @ 6 (Smooth as silk)
Taylor of Old Bond Street - Coconut
Skin Bracer Original

WTG, XTG & ATG on the moustache area. :)

Maxi - I also have some of those French Gillette Super Stainless, and agree that they are lovely blades.

Preshave: Hot water splash
Razor/Blade: Rockwell 6S set on 3 & Perma Sharp (2nd Shave)
Brush: TF Custom Silvertip
Soap: Captains Choice Lime
Post shave: Hot water splash, then Cold Water Splash TSW Balm.
Aftershave: Captains Choice Lime

Mmm, whilst the 3 pass shave was nice it certainly was not one of my better shaves. I also found that the scent from the soap was refreshing but not as much as I would have liked it to be and likewise for the aftershave. So i am still on the hunt for a nice strong but refreshingly citrus combo. I absolutely love my Rockwell it just keeps performing again and again. Although I do have a few others on the way but we will keep that for another day. ;)
Cheers
Tony

Pre: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Antesol and Emulsion
Brush: Semogue 1800 Boar
Soap: Arko
Razor: ATT Kronos open comb M2
Blade: Vintage Personna 74 (11)
Post: Myrsol Antesol and Emulsion
EDT: GFT Spanish Leather

Thanks to @Sxot for kindly donating an Arko stick to me. It is somewhat difficult to be objective about this soap, as so much opinion pre-exists. Well, here goes.
The bad news is that, for me, the scent of the unlathered stick does resemble that of an Aussie urinal puck. The good news is that once you begin to lather, the scent freshens up considerably to a lemon scent.
The lather is very good indeed - typical creamy tallow suds with excellent residual slickness. Three passes for a DFS+. On balance, Arko is great value!
Finished with GFT's interpretation of Spanish Leather. They have dead-set nailed it.

Occam's Crushed Lime Pre
Boots Manchurian
Gillette Fatboy
Feather
Washpool Farm Unscented - Monsta Myrtle
Australia Private Reserve - Monsta Myrtle Balm
Australia Private Reserve - Monsta Myrtle Aftershave

A nice innings for a Saturday morning, took the WPF scented with MM out on the park and it was quite pleasant with the 'earthy tones' of the WPF working quite well with the Monsta Myrtle. We are heading for another humid day in Sydney so I will be glad of the citrus notes. A decent lather from the EPF, the usual two passes and then a nice cold drenching and on with the balm and aftershave.

Have a bloody good Saturday you blokes :)

Preshave: Shower
Razor/Blade: Above the tie R1 w/Rapira Lux (2)
Soap: Caties Bubbles "Menage a lavande"
Brush: PantaRei Manchurian
Post shave: Thayers scentless witch hazel, Myrsol Balsamica, Myrsol Emulsion balm, Cella Eau de Lavande" aftershave.

Not been a big fan of Caties, always found the lather to be too transparent and not great in the slickness dept. Completely hammered it with the big PantaRei and it delivered a great lather and shave........ Tight arse Scottish genes maybe more at fault than the soap.

So i am still on the hunt for a nice strong but refreshingly citrus combo.

Dr Jons Hydra soap and splash from @shavetheman is exactly what you are looking for. It's a great aftershave, it contains a decent quantity of menthol that isn't excessive, alum(.5%) with a fragrance composition of strong citrus notes (Lemon, orange, grapefruit, mandarin, lime and bergamot.) that has real endurance ;)

The Boots is coming along nicely btw, I would have gone for a lot more backbone and a little less loft but I am guessing the constraints of the handle itself prevented the extra depth for the know.

You really have to load Caties Bubbles quite heavily to get a good result IMO. Get it right and the results are very rewarding.

Razor: Wilkinson Sword 'Sticky'
Blade: Personna 'Lab Blue' (6)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson AS2
Soap/Cream: Mondail Tabacco Verde
Post-shave: Pitralon Classic

OK, Lab on last legs - new one in tomorrow for a couple of shaves then heading off.

Mondail - great lather, softly scented but pleasant. Hard to go wrong with this soap IMHO

Pitralon Classic - nice but again nothing that leaps out at me and says - keep me!

Thanks @todras unfortunately TSW is out of stock on the Dr Jons Hydra but I will keep an eye out for it ;-)

Cold water shave
Soap: Shaver Heaven Veliver & Neroli
Brush: cheap synth
Face lather
Blade: Dovo Inox 5/8 with Pearlex scales
Alum block

Not only did I have Australia Day off but also Friday for a four day weekend so Friday & Saturday were both mid-morning shaves also. Same set-up used as Thursday. No nicks or blood either day but Fridays share left a slight irritation. May have been the warm weather or too steep an angle on the blade.but either way, normal programming resumed this morning.

Brush: - Semogue Special Edition 2012 Badger/Boar knot 24/55mm
Lather: - Stirling Electric Sheep Shaving Soap
Razor: - iKon X3 Slant
Blade: - Astra Superior Platinum #6 - last shave going in the tin.
Post Shave: - T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent / Monsta Myrtle (Lemon Myrtle) - sample made by @todras

The Monsta Myrtle sample (Lemon Myrtle) aftershave smell wonderful and relaxing on my nose nothing too sharp which is just right, kinda smell like a mixed of lemon/lime together which I cannot put my finger on the right scent somehow.

Monsta Myrtle has a very good combination together with Stirling Electric Sheep which has a blend of Lemon and Eucalyptus scent and the Monsta Myrtle (Lemon Myrtle) fit perfectly together with this Stirling soap, I'm 100% sure the Monsta Myrtle (Lemon Myrtle) fit perfectly together with Arko as @TomG said above once you begin to lather the Arko scent freshens up considerably to a lemon scent as well. Keep up the great work @todras as I'm really enjoying this and your Australian Private Reserve aftershave product ;)(y)

Pre-Shave: Cypriotian Olive/Argan Oil soap, cold water
Razor: BBS-1
Blade: Voskhod (1)
Brush: Morris & Forndran
Lather: Mystic Water Lime
Post-shave: Alum, Barrister & Man Kyovu Original, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Glad to shave with my BBS-1 - what a great razor it is! And the brush - the knot reminds me very much of my first Paladin (also a Sabini knot) - just bigger and bolder - I think it is a soap destroyer :D

Almost forgot: the wonderful lather (picture here)

Hope you have a great weekend (y)
