So nice to be home for a relaxing shave - [sigh] What better way to start the weekend really :)

PreShave : proraso
Razor BladeOne core v2
Blade third shave
After shave : Home made - Rum based

Another great shave, I am getting more proefficient with this razor.Honestly this razor is so good it feels weird after trying various DE for two months, now I start directly with ATG and it glides irritation free !!! OB is really onto something here.

I couldn't stand it any more - having Australians All sitting there while I've got the travelling box, so this morning I gave it a run.
When I first received Australians All I was surprised by the scent. I think I was expecting something greener, aussie bush sort of scents so I was surprised by the sweetness and wasn't sure how I'd go with it.
The soap lathered nicely taking on lots of water and with the boar brush and because I started relatively dry the lather was not voluminous to start with but thick and creamy and plentiful enough for multiple passes. I added water to the lather throughout the shave.
I found myself enjoying the scent throughout the shave. Probably the best shave I've had all week. I was using a nice blade but that's useless without a good soap to support it.
I'm not experienced with menthol soaps and the Fantome de Menthol I made recently had the ghost of menthol in it but Australians All had the apparition of Menthol. I think I saw it in there. And that's the way I like it, not overpowering but complementary.
The menthol was much more noticeable in the aftershave which I'm still getting good wafts of several hours after application (the aftershave scent not specifically the menthol).
I'm going to enjoy using Australians All because it's good stuff but also (without getting too soppy) because of the unique opportunity we have as P&C members to enjoy this APR/Squadron collaboration. I'm sorry I hadn't come across P&C early enough to be in on the Platypus P&C issue. Thanks @SchoolForAnts and @todras .

Pre-Shave: SebaMed, cold water
Razor: Razorock Mamba SS
Blade: Voskhod (2)
Brush: Tony Forsyth Platypus Prototype Bob Quinn Manchurian
Lather: Mike's Bay Rum
Post-Shave: Alum, Stirling Bay Laurel Witch Hazel, Australian Emu Oil

Another lovely shave with the Mamba - yes it not for the fans of the R41/Feather combo, but if you are after smooth and enjoyable shaves, this razor might be for you.

I absolutely adore this brush OK, I am a bit biased, but not only has it got a lovely handle, but the knot is one of my absolute favourites and it produced outstanding Mike's lather today.

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend (y)

Brush: Semogue 620
Soap: Haslinger
Razor: Gem Micromatic OC
Blade: Gem SS
Post: Old Spice, Nivea

Over the past year or so since I've been messing about with vintage razors I've found, as my technique improves, I've come to enjoy more aggressive razors, I never thought I would. The MM OC really hits that sweet spot for me, not as aggressive as a R41 or 1914, both of which I like, but nice and close with no dramas. Great razor.
The Haslinger is a great soap but I'm waiting on the Red Lead to go with the Old Spice. Checked the Squadron site again, not yet. Is it coming soon @SchoolForAnts

Have a great Sunday
