Pre: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Antesol and Emulsion
Brush: Semogue Owners Club Boar
Soap: B&M Latha Oceana
Razor: ATT Kronos open comb M2
Blade: Vintage Personna 74 (20)
Post: Myrsol Antesol and Emulsion
EDC: T&H 1805

Been a bit hectic of late, so did not document my last couple of shaves. Tonight, tried out a brand spanking new brush and also a new soap. The SOC brush still needs further breaking in, despite my best efforts with a rapid breaking-in method over the weekend. No matter, it has loads of backbone and ripped into the Oceana soap. If Will at B&M was using the Truefitt & Hill 1805 aquatic scent as a touchstone in developing Oceana, he has certainly done a good job. The lather was predictably good, and the three pass shave was comfortable and very close. Plenty of residual slickness for clean-up, and very nice post-shave feel. The choice of cologne was a no-brainer ;)
The Personna 74 blade has lived up to the hype. No wonder it was discontinued so soon after launch - it seems it is not unrealistic to coax a month of premium quality daily shaves from a single blade. Maybe we should rename it "The Cartel Buster".

Beautiful razor @Alba65 and amazing setup and shot! :):)

Cheers Snooze, i was lucky and picked that one up from a collector, Its the silver version and came with outer shipper, instructions etc, all in an immaculate case. Cost me my Drew Dick straight razor, but that can always be replaced at a later date (y)

For anyone interested in the Drew Dick razors, theres a group buy going on in the FB group "Rasoio & Pennello at the moment.

Australian Private Reserve les généraux du grand livre EDP

Taylor's Tuesday, now there is a possibility, but I am sure it has been done on another forum no doubt ad infinitum. With the cool change that swept through Sydney I thought I would give a nice, indeed mordern Fougère an outing and the Jermyn St is a very modern iteration of the Fern family of fragrances. A nice lather from the TOBS, dependable, predictable and pleasant particularly when generously loaded. My usual two passes with the Timeless and a very decent shave, a nice clean off with warm water and on with the accoutrements and their wonderful fragrance. Finished up with the Generals Ledger which was a perfect fit for the fragrance of the Jermyn St, as they both share lavender and geranium notes unsurprisingly.

Have a cracking day you chaps :)

Well that has been a interesting little time since I lasted posted here...

The Good: Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The Bad: Missing the opportunity to watch the Super Bowl with a US family of a contact and their friends who are mad Patriots fans - was SOME game they say.
The Ugly: My digestive system's reaction to (I think) something I ate, leading to the violent and prolonged expulsion of said items and everything else on the overnight train trip from Orlando to Washington, thus I missed going to the Super Bowl watching on the night I arrived. I think I've been turned off Amtrak for life now ...

In more exciting news I went to my first NBA game tonight between the Washington Wizards and Cleveland Cavaliers. A very close match with the score see sawing throughout. Of course the Cavs have this guy -

With the Wizards scoring to go 3 points ahead with only three seconds on the clock who do you think they will go to? What do you think he will do?

Yep, he manages to land a three pointed under pressure from the bottom corner - and the Cavs will in overtime by 5 - but which would have been 1 except for the foul in the last seconds as the Wizards pushed for time.

Great game!
