Another day, another fine lather from the SV with it's superb fragrance of Basil, Bergamot, Rockrose and Myrtle suffusing through the bathroom. The usual two passes then on with some salve from Chatillon Lux as the heat has been drying my skin out a fair bit, the SV balm is interesting, a nice fragrance and adequate but not superb face treatment post shave. Finished up with the lovely Sandalwood, Lime, Verbena which is a fragrance that works particularly well in the warmer weather and has the staying power once applied.

Have a Stirling day and great shaves you fellas :penguin:

Pre-Shave: Cypriotian Olive/Argan Oil soap, cold water
Razor: Weber PH UFO Titan L
Blade: Voskhod (1)
Brush: Tony Forsyth Platypus Prototype Bob Quinn Manchurian
Lather: Mike's Lime
Post-shave: Alum, Barrister & Man Kyovu Original, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Out of my current razors, the Weber definitely has the widest possible angles of attack. I had a very mindful shave today (maybe due to the horrible heat) and realised just how important maintaining the right angle with this razor is. If you do that, it feels wonderfully smooth and it is a very efficient razor - but if you don't...if feels more like a grater.

In case you haven't noticed it yet - I love Mike's - it is a truly superb soap and the lather today was nothing short of spectacular (picture here) - so the Paltypus doesn't look only fantastic (almost like an oil-painting), it also delivers on the lather front!

Brush: - Platypus 1st P&C LE 24mm Fan Manchurian White :love::wideyed:(y)
Lather: - Stirling Nag Champa Shaving Soap
Razor: - Parker Variant Adjustable (WTG #4, XTG #2, ATG #2)
Blade: - Vintage Polsilver Stainless #1
Post Shave: - T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent / Speck Aftershave

WOW!! :wideyed: What a fantastic brush it feels amazing is absolutely spot on which I've never experience a Manchurian White knot, and best part of this brush while I was face lathering is the handle because it feels soooo comfortable in my hand without any stress at all. @Tony Forsyth you are now on my shopping list for 2018 when my Sabbatical is over, I'm planning to get another Manchurian White knot from Elite Razor again and another handle made directly from you soon.

I cannot believe how fast this brush can build sooooo much lather on my face has really blown me away which I cannot explain, and I can't stop enjoying the feeling of the Manchurian White knot connected to my face while face lathering is truely amazing and I'm totally speechless.

PS. @alfredus, @Tony Forsyth & @Monsta_AU are you guys planning another P&C LE brush again for 2018 ?? because this will be on my shopping list again :D

Pre: Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Thater 4125/2
Soap: Martin de Candre
Razor: ATT S1
Blade: Vintage Polsilver
Post: alum, witch hazel, TSW After Balm, B&M Beaudelaire

After enduring the wee Scott for three days during my travel, I think it's ample time to decide that my skin really hates it. It irritates my skin, and feels raw after face lathering. Time for a new travel synth.

Thanks to @Draco Noir for the recommendation on the 4125/2, and many thanks @fatboy58 for selling this to me. After a few first uses (wasn't impressed initially), I can put my hand on my heart and say that this is my number 1 brush to date. It just works. The knot on it is amazing.

I reckon the Beaudelaire pairs quite well with the MdC fougere.

Mastro Livi Carbon Damascus. Again.

Mastro Livi Twisted Carbon Damascus, again. The smoothness of this blade is amazing and the feel it gives to the skin is both pleasing and round while delivering a very close shave. As for the shave brush, the Omega Professional 48 is - in my opinion - one of the best bristle brush around with a good compromise between stiffness and softness. The finishing touch was provided by Aqua Velva Ice Blue, a classic and among my favorite ones.
  • Pre-Shave: RazorGuy Pre-Shave Oil

  • Razor: Mastro Livi Double Damascus San Mai, 15/16 Full Hollow, Barber's Notch

Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Antesol
Brush: Semogue SOC Boar
Soap: Stirling Sharp Dressed Man
Razor: Wilkinson Sword Sticky
Blade: Vintage Wilkinson Sword French Brown (2)
Post: Myrsol Antesol and Emulsion
Splash: APR Suitably Attired Australian

Very comfortable and close three pass shave.

Don't own a black brush to match the razor or the EdT, so its a B&W photo of todays shave.

Never really got on with this Cadman brush, its so dense theres only about 30mm of flex from the tips, more backbone than a 6" nail.
Got distracted after prepping this shave so it was left soaking for a good 30minutes, probably nearer 45....... and it was an absolute pleasure to use (y) extra planning needed next time out.

Preshave: Facescrub & Bloomwater
Razor/Blade: Delta Echo slim w/Wilk.sword (2)
Brush: Cadman bellhandled boar.
Soap: WSP "Fugere Noir"
Postshave: Thayers original, Myrsol Balsamic, Nivea sensitive balm, Drakkar Noir EdT

Dr Jon's Savannah Sunrise Aftershave
Australian Private Reserve L'endroit Orange EDP

I have had this soap kicking around in a drawer for around a year now and decided to give it an outing this morning with the heatwave set to hit, Dr Jon's makes a very slick lather and always has, plenty of cushion too. A nice sweet orange citrus scent, fragrance oil based I suspect but still very enjoyable especially with the warmer weather. One of those soaps I always looked at but never got around to using, after this morning I am glad that I did as it was spot on for my mood and the climate.

Have a great day chaps, enjoy your shaves :pompous:
