What are those two fancy brushes @Korbz ?

Rush job+ wandering 2 year old in bathroom + 2 day growth + new feather blade = bloodbath. So much for giving my skin a rest :(

The worst ever shave I had. Even when I started with a straight it wasn't this bad.

Sheesh man. I never knew you could match your brushes to your soaps. You must have quite the set.

Ouch! @Rami looks like you're 2 year old wandering in bathroom yelling out loud for Uncle Freddy Krueger for giving you a rush bloodbath shave

We were running late and mum was busy getting ready. The bastard learned to get out of the bath where we used to keep him occupied with few toys. Guess it's going to be late night shaves for me from now on.

The First Merkur Shave
20170214_095615.jpg

Razor: Merkur Futur (1)
Blade: Perma-sharp SS (1)
Soap: B&M Lavanille (first time)
Brush: K Shave Worx Gamechanger
Post: Alum + PAA Sangre de Drago

Thoughts
- First SOTD in about two weeks with work going nuts. I have been doing almost daily shaves with the Gillette New + Squadron Soaps but haven't had time to post anything... or even keep up with P&C! Slow start today meant a long, languorous shave and a chance to do something. It was time to use my first modern razor.
- The Futur wasn't as scary as I'd read but I did only use it on 1. It reminded me very much of my PAA Prismatic... especially in terms of audio feedback. I like the potential of being to increase the aggressiveness from there! The Futur + Perma-sharp combo sliced through my two day growth beautifully and I had a 3 pass + quick neck pickup BBS. I event went against the grain on my lip because this combo was so efficient!! Even though I had no tugging or weepers... I can still feel the faint warmth on the lip now as I type. It's probably not something I should do every shave.
- Lavanille is a beautiful soap but I don't know if the scent is totally for me. Performance was brilliant in every category but it's just "nice" as a scent to my nose. I will stick with it as I ramp up the Futur though because I think the protection is excellent. I probably should try and trade it for more Roam :)

Pre: Nil
Brush: Vintage Simpsons "Butterscotch"
Soap: SH - Citrus Garden (Vegan)
Blade: Bengal 5/8 Full Hollow. Paid $25 for this baby!
Post: APR Fete au citon (Lemon Party) - Super Mentholated (I know... sorry @todras)

Another lovely. I'm going to miss this soap with it's tart, tangy scent. Fete au citon is a thing of great olfactory beauty and wonderment bringing a perfect acompanyment. Truly complex accord, well layered, great staying power despite my abusing it with a pile of menthol. I thoroughly enjoy the longer dry down with the scent profile changing as it goes concluding in a cool, fresh, almost powdery tone - or something.... Whatever it is, I like it. 6hrs in a still going strong!

Bloody spot on!

It's the musk :)

Pre-Shave: Cypriotian Olive/Argan Oil soap, cold water
Razor: ATT S-1 Colossus
Blade: Ladas (1)
Brush: Doug Korn D7V Romera Manchurian
Lather: Mike's Bay Rum
Post-shave: Alum, Barrister & Man Kyovu Original, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Just a wonderful shave - I absolutely love the S1 - it just gives me a beautiful result with zero effort - and the stellar Mike's lather (picture here) is definitely not a disadvantage - hope you have a great date night ;)

@Greenpike - would be interested in the Lavanille if you consider offloading.
