you have to bring this scent back again sometime. It's a clear winner in this household, but sadly due to it's LE status, used sparingly. The blade was the looser in this shave. Rough shave a

It is a LE planned for next Summer...

Brush: - Platypus P&C LE 2017 24mm Fan Manchurian White
Lather: - Stirling Glastonbury Shaving Soap
Razor: - Merkur 34C
Blade: - Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow SharpEdge #4
Post Shave: - T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent / Speick Aftershave Splash
Fragrance: - Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male EDT

I've received a package of Stirling Glastonbury shaving soap 5.8oz tub in the mail today just in time for me to start shaving as I'm going out tonight for Lodge, I really enjoy the Glastonbury shaving soap comes in mutton tallow formula and when I open the tub to take a normal sniff before shaving it smell like a very earthy type scent. I'm unable to grab all the scent from this soap all I can smell was Lavender, Oakmoss and Vetiver that it, according to their website I can't smell Patchouli and Frankincense because I have no experience in these two extra scent. The lather again from Stirling is still fantastic is very rich thick and slick soap is still amazes me every time I grab Stirling, Rod and Mandy has made another fantastic soap again in mutton tallow formula of Stirling Glastonbury and it's worth it to have this in your den.

YAY!

(does a little dance).

Better a little dance than a spluttering orifice like some others seem to do ...

Razor: PAA OC Slant Bakelite
Blade: Shark Super Chrome (2)
Soap: D.R. Harris Windsor
Brush: Omega Professional
Post shave: Thayer's Witch Hazel Aloe, Brut splash, Lucky Tiger After Shave Cream

Beautiful shave today. The Windsor soap is one of my favourite scents. Just a beautiful English clean soap with amazing performance. This razor and blade setup is amazing and shreds whiskers like nobody's business, a little irritation due to me trying to get closer than I should but nothing to write home about, still a DFS for me. Can't wait to use the new brush tomorrow
Happy shaving

The scent from 'The Kraken' soap by Mickey Lee soapworks has been described as "barbershop-by-the-sea". It is a lovely light blue in the container and lathers superbly. The scent is certainly a light barbershop-style scent with a typical fresh "Acqua di Gio" vibe woven through it. Very pleasant indeed.
The soap I had to think long and hard about losing. Great scent.

- Brush: 24mm Tuxedo with APShaveCo Blue Lagoon handle

- Blade: Personna (0)

- Razor: Schick type F

- Post: Chatillon Lux Yuzu/Rose/Patchchouli AS

Nothing bad to say about this shave, only good things. I'm really liking this synthetic as it looks and looks and feels great. YRP soap and splash smell wonderful as ever and the type F gave a fantastic shave. The Chatillon Lux aftershave, as always, left my skin feeling soft and supple.

Preshave: Hot water splash
Razor/Blade: ATT & Voskhod (4)

Aftershave/Cologne: None.

Have not had a shave in a couple of days but tonight's shave went down very well.
The Dutch Resistance provided an absolutely brilliantly thick lather with plenty cushion and slickness to assist in easily mowing down my 2 or so days growth and I am really starting to like the scent this soap provides all through the shave. Sort of Aniseed Liqourice scent and reasonably strong.
Starting to really like the ATT with the shorter Atlas handle too and what another very efficient razor it is
My face was left with absolutely no irritation after the light three pass shave using the Voskhod which was now on its fourth shave. I find that the Voskhods are better on the 2nd to 4th shave and then they start to drop off in efficiency for me. But I am happy with that. Terri d'Henri balm to finish off with a great post shave feel.
Have a good night chaps.
Cheers Tony

Brush: Omega Synthetic Hi-Brush
Soap: Proraso Green
Razor: FaTip Gold Gentle
Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock Green (3)
Lotion: Alum / Pinaud Clubman / Nivea Post-Shave Balm / Pinaud Clubman Talc

The second pass with the closed-comb FaTip Gold "Gentile" was so smooth it was at times as though there were no blade in the razor. This was a bit unnerving as I tried to establish a proper angle.

When the blade of this razor is correctly aligned with the safety bar, the top plate is askew. This seems the result of an issue with the dimensions of its width. There is also a lateral play of the blade, so it seems likely there is also an issue with the dimensions (i.e., the diameter) of the holes in the base plate. Together, the issues are confounding; precise blade alignment is essentially impossible. Contrary to custom, I might simply leave the blade, once it is satisfactorily aligned, in the razor until it is changed.

Razor: EJ DE86
Blade: Kai SS
Brush: EJ Best badger
Soap: Proraso Green (because I felt like it)
After: Alum, myrsol don miguel 1919, TSW After Balm

Been back to the sample blades lately, this is the first time with the Kai.
Out of the wrapper it's a no-nonsense blade - no markings, just a very business-like stainless blade.

Probably one of the best shaves I've had - as near to BBS as I've ever had, did really well on the usual trouble spots on the neck too. A pity they are a little on the pricey side.

Razor: Vintage Eclipse Red Ring
Blade: Vintage Australian Gillette Super Stainless [aka "Aussie Spoiler"] (4)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson 'H2' boar
Soap/Cream: Squadron Soap Spitfire
Aftershave Splash: Australian Private Reserve - Un côtelette de porc

Needed some 'love' for my skin after a rushed and rough shave - the APR delivered as usual!
