Brush: RR 400
Razor: Yaqi DOC + RR Bamboo handle
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Scuttle/Bowl/Mug: Fine Lathering bowl
Soap: Mike's Soap Lemon & Eucalyptus
Post: Witch Hazel & Tea Tree Oil + Proraso white balm

A super smooth 2 pass BBS shave with the efficient OC from Yaqi. Can't recommend this razor enough for the price and performance. First shave with the new soap and whilst it's distincly difference in appearence to my other/regular soaps, I found it to lather well and the slickness was up there with my favourite's. Really enjoyed the hints of lemon and post shave feels pleasant. Finished off with some Proraso and looking forward to the next SOTD. Have a great evening and happy shaves!

Folks, all the planets aligned today. The Gillette Slim and goodies from APR and Vshop all arrived today.
Well, what is a bloke supposed to do but test drive them. The new bowl and brush whipped up an amazing lather, thick, and luxurious.
The Slim is in original condition, balance & weight is very nice in hand. Now the shave. Set to a moderate setting with a new Astra blade, It gave me an amazing shave. It certainly exceeded all my expectations, total comfort. Post shave my face felt nice and smooth. No cuts, no weepers, no sting when the aftershave went on.(y)

Another good Mama Bear shave this morning. Probably not the right weather for a eucalyptus scent, but I made such a great lather with yesterday's Bear that I wanted to go again. The 0.68, O.C. just seems to work for my skin and hair. BBS after 3 passes. Thank God It's Friday.

Semogue, Mondial, Mingshi, Polsilver, Witch Hazel, VCS Fougere, Oud attar
Faux Futur Friday:
Whipped up a very nice slick lather and used setting 5 for first pass.New polsilver in the Mingshi so took it easy and let the weight do the work,as this combination can be quite unforgiving. Second pass on setting 2 XTG cheeks and chin and ATG neck/throat for a bloodless shiny smooth finish. The Mondial is a very decent soap for DE shaves, easy to load, lathers up plenty and has a lovely scent as well.

Pre: jojoba oil
Progress XL w/Polsilver
Razorock Bruce synth
Coates lime cream
Anherb balm

Awesome shave with the Coates lime cream. Absolutely the best cream and the only brand of cream in my den.

These are long discontinued but you can still get these dirt cheap in the US so if you use forwarding services, you should grab a bunch. At $1.50 per tube, it's a true bargain!!

The more I use the progress, the less I want to use any other razor! My Rockwell hasn't been used in a week so I better show it some love!

I had used the progress for nearly 5 years as my sole razor (tried a bunch during that time and sold them all off). The Rockwell is the only razor to remain in the den alongside my 3 progress razors!!

Brush: RR 400
Razor: Maggard V3A + MR1 handle
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (2)
Scuttle/Bowl/Mug: Local Gent Shaving Co. Eucalyptus & Mint puck
Soap: Mike's Soap Lemon & Eucalyptus
Post: Witch Hazel & Tea Tree Oil + Nivea for Men Creme

A fabulous 3 pass BBS with the V3A and man does it shave sweet. Very smooth and efficient with slight blade resistance shaving under my nose but overall a very comfortable shave. Surprised at how easily the puck lathered up with minimal water and my face felt slick and refreshed with each pass. Hope you have a great weekend and happy shaves!
