Soap: Pb Tobacco Blue
Brush: Vie Long Horse
Razor: Rocnel Elite
Blade: Feather (2)
AS: Sangre de Drago
Backdrop is 'Eye of the Dragon', collaborative effort between my daughter and her Grandma. Copy of image in acrylics.
Finished off the Tobacco Blue. Really enjoyed the thick creamy lather this morning.
I'm going to go back to the BIC blade in the Elite. I get a good shave with the Feather but have to do too much buffing so then get the beginnings of irritation. Not enough to stop me using the Feather but it's annoying for a razor that was designed for that blade. It will be interesting to compare with the AS-D2.

Thats a really great Winter fragrance, the warm spicy honey ticks all the boxes and the 'fantastic mystic lather' is top notch!

A picture would have been nice....sheesh

I save my pics for special occasions - absence makes the heart grow fonder!

There is not a sotd picture you post without some vintage Simpson brush that I envisage being absolutely bored out to all hell and back to seat a 26 or 28mm B5 knot!

Philistine ;)

Pre-Shave: SebaMed, cold water
Razor: Guerrilla
Blade: Ladas (2)
Brush: Paladin Chief Strawberry Amber
Lather: Mystic Water Bergamot, Cedarwood & Juniper
Post-Shave: Alum, Thayers Original Alcohol Free Witch Hazel, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

A bit of a rough shave today - don't know it was due to the fact that I rushed it, or that the blade had already died? Very unusual for this razor, especially since the Mystic Water lather was so drippy - as ordered by @todras :D

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend (y)

One word to describe it would be "Royal".

@UKSteve
Being such a huge oud fan, could you comment on how authentic the oud scent is on this soap (if you've used it)?

99% of commercial Oud products contain no real Oud. That doesn’t necessarily make it a bad product in my eyes. I haven’t used the shaving soap but I do like Tundra in bath/shower soap format and have a few here.

There’s a certain richness and aura from Oud that just can’t be replicated, it’s a perfume in itself. Synths always come across as being a bit flat.
Variables such as the trees geographical location, species and age greatly effect the final product. To put a standardised smell on ‘Oud’ in my eyes would be wrong.
If you’re asking me if it smells like any of the genuine Oud oils or perfumes I post here then no, it’s a million miles away.

I recently sent Dan a small sample of Xerjoff Kampuchea Noir which is more representative of the ouds I wear. I don’t know if he’s had chance to wear it. That’s now out of production from Xerjoff, simply because the oil has ran out, it’s done and can’t be replicated because it’s genuine oud.

Great, thanks for that info!

I have read into oud oils and it's associated market but since I don't wear any fragrances, I never experienced "real" oud.

Perhaps I'll go to one of the middle eastern fragrance shops near me and have a whiff of oud wood chips.

In any case, the fact that you have and like tundra artica is a good compliment for SV given your oud experience.
