A rushed shave tonight. Two passes only, surprisingly got a DFS.

Country Club 'Bay Rum' soap / RazoRock Monster synth / Gillette President Y4 + Feather (3) / APR 'Fenchurch' splash and EDT

Loads of lather from this soap, whipped up by the big Razorock synth.

I loosen the TTO knob just a fraction on these normally mild vintage Gillettes (Aristocrat or President) and it just changes the blade gap and angle by a tiny amount - but it ramps up the aggression exponentially! Think #9 on the Slim.Too loose and there is blade movement and flexion. Some Gillette inventor probably did the same thing in the 1950s and the "Adjustable" was born!

I’ve been enjoying mine with a few test lathers! Hardly any lather spills over the sides too which is good!

@SchoolForAnts I got this from IKEA. Works ok untill you get a bit of soap on your hand. Impossible to hold

I am thinking of modelling one up in 3D and getting it printed. Maybe put like a raised honeycomb pattern on the inside?

But yeah the Avalon ones seem good. Think I read 9 bucks shipping as well

The Captain’s Choice lather bowl is fantastic without having your brush banging, clinging and dangling against the handle all the time while bowl lathering.

And is very comfortable to hold in your hand without stress or dropping the bowl.

Post-shave: Alum, Thayers witch hazel cucumber- tea tree oil, Stirling Mountain Man splash

Not a bad shave, 4 day growth and I didn't quite nail the lather tho still was able to get through the shave with little irritation and have a few patches that will get cleaned up on tomorrows shave

How deep are they @SpeedyPC ?

About 30mm deep, just get the standard size bowl fits perfectly in your hand. Don’t get the large size bowl, because the diameter is larger than the standard size.
