Brush: Zenith Boar
Razor: RR Game Changer
Blade: English Wilky (3)
Soap: Valobra Menthol
A/S: Fine L'Orange Noir

Pre-shave: Shower, Pears Transparent Soap
Brush: Edwin Jagger EJ28 Synthetic
Soap/Cream: Shaver Heaven- Fig & Brown Sugar
Razor: Gillette Rocket
Blade: Gillette 7'Oclock Sharp Edge (2)
Post-shave: Styptic, Alum, Aloe vera gel, Somersets face balm

The blade looked like there was more gap when sitting in the Rocket, Turns out that there was more blade feel and the razor seemed more aggressive to me. I ended up with about 5-6 weepers and a lot of irritation(the most weepers and irritation I've ever had), it was a close shave though.

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Saponificio Varesino Two-band High Mountain Manchurian White Badger
Soap: Haslinger Schafmilch (Tallow)
Razor: Merkur Futur (2)
Blade: Vintage NOS Personna Super Platinum Chrome (14)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel / Myrsol Emulsion
Scent: APR Ozymandias EdP

No doubt who the star of the show was today - the debut shave with the SV brush. I chose the Haslinger Schafmilch soap as it is a consistently excellent performer and a soap I know well. First impressions of the brush were very favourable indeed. It is listed as a 26mm knot, but it demolishes soap as fast as any brush in my den, and that includes a 30mm Rudy Vey Shavemac. This took me by surprise, and I overloaded by a country mile, and ended up face lathering to get the water balance back in order. The brush is a delight to use - it splays with just the right amount of resistance, and has truly amazing lather flow-through. The tips are soft, and the feel of the brush in my hand was excellent. As I had not performed any test-lathers or other prep, there was a little residual gaminess in the bristles, but this is my no means a bad thing, and will be gone after a couple more lathers.
Three passes and a few buffs for a BBS result. The Vintage Personna blade keeps on keeping on :D.

During the shave I felt like it was going to be a bloodbath with what felt a blunt blade. Until the final rinse this was in my fore but after applying the aftershave I felt and looked amazing! Very close, not BBS but close. And no need for the styptic so I was impressed.

Nevertheless, the blade has been binned. No need to settle for a rough blade at this point in my life!

Been ages since a SOTD post but I have been shaving! Tried out my new 1940s Swing Senior today with a red & white stainless Gillette blade. Beautiful, smooth and efficient shave! I'm really impressed and it's jumped up my list pretty quickly. I will continue to play with a number of blades so find the sweetest spot.

I'm a mid century guy.

@TomG that brush is giving me a BAD viagra, it’s on the top of my shopping list and you’re keeping me down the darkest, deepest rabbit hole :shifty:

I tried to get six shaves from the Astra SP blade. Not a good idea, ended up with skin irritation on the neck.
