That's just shadow and a phone filter. It still looks brand new.

I left a blade in for two days and the inside of the top cap got a bit of a stain on it where water drops let's had not dried. I have disassembled it every time except that. TBH I'm not to keen on pulling it apart every time.

How have you been handling it?

I too don't want to baby it with disassembly and cleaning every time.

I got the karve in raw brass instead of waiting for stainless because I actually want a natural patina as I love the look of aged brass.

Here's the thing though, my karve is at my parent's place as I'm overseas so I won't get it for a while...but what I'm thinking is to ask my father to leave it out in the open so it can patina naturally and evenly, instead of getting water spots here and there.

But I'm just not sure if that's the right way to go about it. I'd love for it to already have a natural patina from the first time I take it to water.

@nav1 yeah I don't want to dissemble it every time either. It gets shipped with a note about uneven patina with water drops being left on it, so it made me a bit nervous.

I was thinking of following this post (second post down). But just not doing it all the way. Stopping before the security bs polish.

Thanks, that was an interesting read.

I'm one who would like a natural patina to form, just not an uneven one.

I'm thinking that since it's going to be a while until my parents visit me and bring my karve, I could try just leaving it out in the open and hope a natural patina will form over the next few months.

I know I wouldn't have the patience to do this if I had the razor with me! :D

A fresh pre-work head/face shave this morning and man was it smooth. Despite my slight hesitation regarding the D plate, once you master the angle this thing shaves so sweet & comfortable with minor blade feel. Pairs perfectly with Crystal blades so thanks again @Kaeckerut (y) Happy shaves!

Well it’s a -1 degree SOTD....

Without doubt the penultimate use of this cream! I’m glad to be able to say I’ll be finished with a whole product :)
It’s super cold in Melbourne this morning so a nice warming splash was the order of the day!

Getting the hang of the Sabre. In true SE style, it stands for no nonsense, but surprisingly for an aggressive razor I haven't found any potential for biting. I was being careful but not intensely. BBS with a little buffing but if you were in a hurry this is a razor you could get a good result from a minimum of passes.
Good idea @Snooze , time to pull the Washpool out.

I'm finding little difference between the four and five plates, both seem to work pretty well for me. Keep warm today everyone.
