I don't want this week to end. Having some stellar shaves with my straights.

Nice Razor! Is it any different to shave with than your other straights?

Rockwell 6s (4)
Feather (1)
RazoRock Plissoft
A&E Asian Plum soap and splash

First time using the 6s - smooth, smooth shaver. Complete BBS. So much better than the DE89 for me. For two day's growth, plate 4 was good but I reckon 5 or 6 would've saved me a pass or two. If what people are saying is true, and that the Karve is supposedly smoother than the 6s, well then I know what I'll be getting next.

Second time using Asian Plum and this scent is probably my current favourite. Post shave feel is fantastic, and the splash is the cherry on top. This is really the only splash I have which doesn't dry out my skin at all, and that's likely due to the lower alcohol content.
Can't really pick out any individual scents but I do get whiffs of tobacco even a good 10 hours later which I like (even though I'm a non-smoker).

Overall, awesome shave. Just wish the weather was a bit less gloomy here in Melbourne.

+1. Agree with every aspect of your review.

the blade length is smaller than most of my other razors, but apart from that it still gives a lovely shave. Less feedback than my full hollow Dovo, but plows through the stubble really well. It has a beautiful bevel on it, that I will be sending back to dc blades for a re-hone until I can get my honing skills up to scratch.

  1. KWB knives, San Mai, 8/8,
  2. Cella
  3. Floris - pure badger.
The brush that started it all (20+ years), with one of my latest additions.

I'm chuffed that I managed to get through the week without a single nick. The time taken for a shave has come down markedly since I started with the cut throats and I couldn't be happier that I started down the straight razor rabbit hole. I think that my DEs are feeling left out, so next week DE shaves only. It will be interesting to see the differences.

You just inspired me to bring the Mamba out of the vault. Hope she is smooth as yours tomorrow. (y)
Did the Coolbah compliment the MO Blue Stratos?
Yeah I had forgotten how smooth it shaved but a shame it's quite mild  In all honesty I was in a rush for work and just grabbed the MO as a last minute thing so not sure it really matches Coolabah :D
