Day 9 of the Pb Soap spreadsheet run.
Soap: Lemon Myrtle V1
Brush: Semogue Boar 1800
Razor: Gillette Super Adjustable 109 (5,7,9)
Blade: Nacet (2)
Very happy with the 109. I was expecting it to be similar to the Fatboy and Slim which it pretty much was. Resin grip was surprisingly good, especially with this slick soap and the long handle is handy.
Soap on the other hand doesn't tick many boxes. It's one redeeming factor is slickness, otherwise it'd get tossed or relegated to.....(bin). It's foamy as car wash but actually gives a reasonable shave and probably suits DE over Straight (not much cushion). This soap was an experiment into low stearic acid boundaries (non acid trip) and the lessons were learned. Don't expect to see this in the finished products thread anytime soon, just not enough love for it, though having said that there is a tub of this out in the wild and apparently it has been getting the love. And I shouldn't dis it too much. It was pushing dam close to BBS this morning.
And it's very moisturising so I don't even need Jojoba oil post shave. Maybe I should rewrite this.........
