Nice combo. That's about as close as I get to BBS. Rapira's seem to work well with the Slim.

If you have seen posts for the new PAA Starling, have never tried a Gem/ER type razor and are wondering what the fuss is about, you don't need buy the Starling. For a quarter of what it will cost you ( or less if you're lucky) you could pick up a vintage 1912. A great little razor and if the starling shaves as good as this people will rave about it. The SAA is great too of course​

A quick shave as it's bloody hot today :mad: A BBS shave after 2 days growth with this awesome razor. Don't let it's fearsome appearnce put you off as it delivers a smooth and efficient shave. Perfectly matched with the smaller iKon handle and finished off with the Rockwell balm. Happy shaves and pray for some rain! :happy:

First flight of the year. Sydney then Gold Coast tomorrow for a funeral. At some point I'm sure I will get too old for these early morning starts. Until then it is sooooo good to at least start the early day with a good shave!

Brush: Omega Italian Boar
Razor: Bengall

First run of the Robaiba Blue. Lathered up as per test lather, took lots of water and provided a thick cream lather which provided a very good shave with the Bengall. Wasn't the Bengall I stropped last night, picked up the wrong one while still half asleep this morning. Didn't realise til I went to take the photo.
I thought of a jumper while shaving so the menthol was having effect. Scent was nice but I thought of Australians All mid shave as I was missing a bit of sweetness. Going to have to tinker with scent profile.
The soap is very soft, surprisingly so for the amount NaOH in the base. I'm assuming I'll adjust that on next iteration as I'm not sure how you'd go lathering on the puck.

Post-shave:- Thayers Witch Hazel / Lucky Tiger Aftershave & Face Tonic

Thanks mate. Chairman of our board at work. Suddenly had a massive heart attack while exercising last week. He was only in his later 60s - you just never know...

Unfortunately I know exactly what you mean. You have to take time to look after yourself but be sure to do the stuff you love, nothing is promised after all.
