Nice to see you enjoying the new brush and that bowl is the perfect match for lathering up plenty of awesome lather!!! Sadly I don't use mine nearly as much as I should out of fear of the misses breaking it... :nailbiting:

It is a perfect match for the brush and I'm fortunate there's a little semi niche/corner in my vanity unit where it can sit without much risk of being knocked off. If my Bloom bowl got broken I'd definitely have to replace it.

Pre-shave:- Hot Shower
Brush:- P&C 2020/ TF customs ivory 24mm 2 band finest.
Soap:- Noble Otter Northern Elixir
Razor:- Executive Shaving Outlaw
Blade:- Astra Superior Stainless (1)
Post shave:- Thayers Witchhazel lemon / Oaken Lab AS Balm

Noble Otter Northern Elixir, another great soap from Noble Otter. Like the other new formula soaps I tried this one also has post shave which is exceptional. As the new badger brush ate the lather, I was forced to do my touch up pass with out a lather. No issues and no iritation. In fact I didn't even need the post shave balm after the Thayers. I still used it. The soap has a nice mid strength pepermint/eucalyptus/lavender scent. I think there might be some vetiver and some sort of woodiness as well. There is a menthol effect from the soap which is a consistent mid strength from start to finish of the shave. Its cool without being annoying.

The TF customs brush was it's first use. Very nice and the badger smell was not offensive although I did give it a prep with the antibacterial hand wash bowl lather clean. That finest badger is very soft. Not scratchy at all and will break in very nicely. I can see this being a favourite face lathering brush.(y)

Interesting first shave with the Outlaw. To be fair, this razor needs some shave time with it for a proper review. Initial thoughts. Its a very well made razor (weighing in at 114gr). For a hand polished all 316l stainless steel razor with no machining marks at around $150 AUD + shipping, it is excellent value. It is a mid aggressive razor somewhere around the Karve CB (SB) D plate, Rockwell 6s plate 5, Rex Ambassador setting 3.5- 4. It felt more efficient and slighly smoother and than the Rex Envoy, not as smooth as a Karve SB D plate or Rockwell plate 5. This will change depending on who's using it as less aggressive blade will tame it down and a sharper blade will increase efficiency. YMMV
There was no blade feel at all which was surprising. WTG, XTG passes felt nothing special except, this razor is loud. Does it sing or what on a 4 day growth. ATG it was smooth and efficient. It removed stubble under my jaw that grows at a weird angle that most razors need to remove in the touch up pass. This razor removed them in the ATG pass, this impressed me. I still required a 3 pass + touchups to achieve BBS. I was also able to shave my upper lip ATG with no issues and just as smooth as the 6s plate 5. Zero weepers on the shave and it felt like a really easy to use razor. The handle is super grippy like the Rex Ambassador/Envoy, and very much like the Razorrock super knurl handle.

Closest razor I could compare it to intially that I have used shave wise. ( GC 0.84)

What I like, (Initial thoughts)

Build quality,
Low profile head
No blade overhang
Grippy Handle
Long secure thread on the too cap
ATG performance
Price

What I dont like,

I like razors with a little more efficiency on the first pass.
To me the WTG and the XTG passes did not do anything for me or give me that WOW feeling.

So far, It Looks like Executive Shaving have been listening to the wet shaving community. After several razors models previously released, it looks like this time, they have a razor which which will appeal to a large segment of wet shavers. It's pricing point for what you get is a big selling point.

For an accidental purchase, I look forward to trying different blades and see what works best for me.

Keeper for now.:)

Cannot believe you are still pedaling that one :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Sadly mines tucked away under the sink as the misses has allowed me 1/100th of bathroom space and no chance of having the Bloom bowl out as it encroaches on her space... Plus I'm too lazy shaving in the spare bathroom

I've just adopted the spare bathroom as my den. That way, I don't have to fight for space amongst her bottles of this and that, and (usually) don't get disturbed while I'm shaving. Mrs Gargravarr rarely looks in the cupboard under the washbasin, so my acquisitions remain undiscovered until I'm ready. If she ever calls me on them, I can always mention how unobservant she is, since nothing is hidden or out of sight except for what I'm currently using (because I'm using the smaller bathroom, Hah! So there! :ROFLMAO:)

Yeah I moved out most of my shaving gear last night into the guest bathroom as its fairly empty and look forward to the warmer weather so I can enjoy those SOTD without my misses beauty gear cramping my space! :p

Brush: Yaqi 30mm Tuxedo
Razor: Merkur 34C
Blade: Gillette Rubie Plus (2) - cheers @tim33z (y)
Soap: Cattie's Bubbles Irish Coffee
Pre: Shower + Prickly Pear mentholated pre-shave soap
Post: Paco Rabanne Black XS cologne // TSW After Balm
ATG, XTG, ATG = DFS

A super quick pre-work shave so no picture. Not as efficient as the Charcoal Goods/ Smart Helix Apollo/ GC .84P but super smooth and nimble that I still managed a solid DFS. Spent more time loading the brush and I can finally see the bottom of the tub. At this rate I should have the soap finished in a couple weeks and not a moment too soon as I'm quickly getting over the scent... Happy shaves!
