Pre: warm face wash with goats milk soap & beard oil
Razor: Yaqi Eden SS
Blade: GPS/ Perma Sharp (#2) - Just had a couple hundred more of these finally turn up so why not!
Brush: Grandslam pure badger - affectionately called "floppy bastard" and strangely enough I'm starting to knot (pardon the pun lol) hate this floppy soft brush. Just takes a bit of a different style maybe, worked a treat today face lathering with cream. I used it more like a paint brush and limited the splay scrub I normally do, it's starting to smell better...well no, not better lol but stinking less. Only gagged 4 times today :vomit:
Soap: Jack The Barber Cream - I really like this stuff, works a treat though the scent is so mild to me I can barely smell it but I get a damn nice shave with it and skin feel nice post. Maybe a cream Vs soap thing
Post: Witch Hazel with Tea tree and a smoothing over after with Goats milk with manuka. AS: was a liberal splashing (wife interrupted me and I lost though and just poured some over face, well it went everywhere. Man I think my socks even stink nice(y)

Pre-shave: Shower
Brush: Semogue Owners Club Limited Edition true two band best badger knot
Soap: Stirling - Sandpiper
Razors: Timeless 0.68 SB - Scalloped Head
Blade: Polsilver (2)
Post-shave: Stirling - Sandpiper
With the low and cyclones hanging around the build up has broken and brought some welcome rain. The BSB was not drying out which provided an excuse to rotate through the newly acquired boars.
They are all good and will be kept in rotation but this one made the best 1st impression.

FTFM.

Give you skin a chance to rest, and use the soap again - the stinging could simply be down to fatigue and less than a normal shaving technique due to not sleeping for 35hrs (!!) :)

I tried some lathering and the itchy thing came back. I'll leave it open for some days and try again. My alternative plan is to make my old man use it. I really want to keep the soap around :)

Well it had to happen at some point, used the brush other day so figured what the heck. Gave my B-day shave kit a bit of a rub for a nice shine and then went to town with it all. I wasn't disappointed at all, wow B-Day BBS in style and comfort, fantastic shave.

Pre: Shower and then goats milk with manuka pre.
Razor: My own handmade B-day burl slasher with closed/safety bar head
Blade: PolSilver - first time using these and I can see why they are popular (y)
Brush: The 4B - again my own B-day handywork.
Bowl: The 3B - B-day Burl Bowl from above set.
Soap: Proraso Aloe vera & Vit E cream - leave skin with a nice feel, I'm starting to like using creams.
Post: Alum for one weeper, goats milk with manuka again and a splash of AS: Traditional Bay Rum.

Pre: Pb PSE
Soap: Pb The Green Gin
Brush: Shavemac
Razor: Rocnel Elite
Blade: BIC (3) shimmed
Nice to be back in Stellar Shave County. Easy BBS. The Green Gin just needs some alone time. It's playing much nicer now and will benefit from more time. The menthol is still very strong (3 passes is enough) but not the assault on the senses that it was immediate post cook.
The BIC is good in the Elite. @Errol , if you've got any BIC blades give them a try in the Elite.
Rescued the vintage painted tin from being thrown out. It's great for housing my blade tucks 'in use'.

Hmm lets set up an email chat with you me and the maker ok :)

I am sure we can get this thing worked out!

My advice is not to use the soap again though, there is very little point suffering irritation if there is an allergen (to you) in the soap. Very often it can be 1 or 2 people out of 1000 where an issue arises, with the other 980 people being ok and sometimes the numbers are much less.

Allergens are like that, even in wash off products like soap that are not on the skin for very long - sometimes only 40-50 seconds, or a minute or two are necessary for a reaction to be observed. There are essential oils like Artemisia, that aside from being highly toxic in any dose, cause all kinds of skin reactions even in minute traces in some people where in others (aside from the toxicity which everyone will experience) no allergenic reaction is observed on the skin at all. Many of the citrus oils are the same Lime Oil in particular causes all kinds of nasty reactions in people.

So people do not get the wrong idea, I am not saying that the soap has a problem, but that my friend here has experienced a reaction and in this case, he is the 1 or 2 out of 1000 (or whatever the number is).

Not the most smoothest of shaves but still achieved near BBS results. Interested to give the blade/razor combo more shaves. As can be expected from the APR, both fine scents with super creamy & slick lather... Happy shaves!

Been a tad slack taking photos recently but the shaves have not been stopping!
Still working my way through the C&E puck and the donut is due any day now. I can see the wood coloured darkness just about in the centre. I’ve been enjoying it a lot, but I’m at that point where I’m wanting variety, but if my calcs are correct, it’s only another 10-15 shaves tops.

In other news, and again sorry for lacking a photo here, I acquired a brand new razor this week. Same same. But different, anyway. A Matt Black Rockwell 6S. Only used the 3 plate so far and it feels closer to a 4 to me. Perhaps the black coating has some input there to make it have more gap?

Will likely sell my other 6S once I’m sure the plates are mostly all useful.

Why didn't you just take a picture of your shitter, screen shot your bloody weather app, or some random dreary East German St, Mark seems to get away with it for weeks at a time... :ROFLMAO:
