This badger/boar Rooney really is a nice brush. The (rare) Simpson boar I used yesterday is so soft and comforting, this Rooney has a bit more backbone

Gutta percha is a thermoplastic that was widely used until Bakelite came along and mostly took it's place. It was used for knife scales and gun grips and pretty much anything plastic.Appears to be of plastic/resin origin not wooden
Why?Wipe the blade on both sides and flip it.
I never wipe or flip.Done... and inserted into GC-84P for tomorrow
Very possibly then. I googled and read the first line of Wiki response: "Gutta-percha is a tree of the genus Palaquium in the family Sapotaceae" and assumed referred to carved timber from the gutta percha tree, if I had read on would have realised also resin from the tree: "The name also refers to the rigid, naturally biologically inert, resilient, electrically nonconductive, thermoplastic latex derived from the tree, particularly from Palaquium gutta; it is a polymer of isoprene which forms a rubber-like elastomer."Gutta percha is a thermoplastic that was widely used until Bakelite came along and mostly took it's place. Also for flexible things required to be moisture-resistant. Lining for tobacco-pouches for instance...Gutta percha is a thermoplastic that was widely used until Bakelite came along and mostly took it's place. It was used for knife scales and gun grips and pretty much anything plastic.
