Well gave the Tabac the run and evaluation today, thanks to Daniel. it was as you want Tabac to be lathered without effort consistent throughout the shave off the brush. Great post feel and a warming feeling on the skin that was by no means irritating more comforting.
Thanks also to Tom.

Pre-shave: Hot shower
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Rooney shaving brush
Soap/Cream: APR Fenchurch shaving soap
Razor: Vintage Gillette L1 Slim Adjustable (5)
Blade: Gillette Minora (4)
Post-shave: APR Fenchurch splash
Fragrance: APR Fenchurch EDP

This badger/boar Rooney really is a nice brush. The (rare) Simpson boar I used yesterday is so soft and comforting, this Rooney has a bit more backbone

Gutta percha is a thermoplastic that was widely used until Bakelite came along and mostly took it's place. It was used for knife scales and gun grips and pretty much anything plastic.
Very possibly then. I googled and read the first line of Wiki response: "Gutta-percha is a tree of the genus Palaquium in the family Sapotaceae" and assumed referred to carved timber from the gutta percha tree, if I had read on would have realised also resin from the tree: "The name also refers to the rigid, naturally biologically inert, resilient, electrically nonconductive, thermoplastic latex derived from the tree, particularly from Palaquium gutta; it is a polymer of isoprene which forms a rubber-like elastomer." Also for flexible things required to be moisture-resistant. Lining for tobacco-pouches for instance...
