Soap, brush and bowl making for a thoroughly Tasmanian shave today. Some time ago, I decided that only the Pro Super gives enough efficiency to this razor to make it right for me, but from time to time I try other blades to see if I'm wrong. I don't think I am: the Feather Pro gives a comfortable shave, but not a close one: DFS only.

Gillette platinum wasn't as sharp as I thought it'd be. Would serve better in a more aggressive razor.

Post-shave: Noble Otter - Lone Star AS splash / A&E - skin food nourishing cream

2 pass WTG daily shave = DFS+. Fantastic shave. This razor and blade combo are sublime. Good for 2 days in between shaves.

Soap: SV Felce Aromatica
Razor: Fatip Piccolo Special edition , open comb
Blade: Gillette Minora (yes, I did jump on the bandwagon:))
Post-shave: Icy cold towel, SV Felce Aromatica

Shaving a five day stubble sounded like the perfect occasion to try the open comb for the first time. The open comb felt only just a little more aggressive than the closed comb. My only criticism of this razor is the slightly uneven blade reveal on the two sides, a common problem with Fatips which I was aware of before purchasing. It hasn't taken much away from the joy of the shave, though.

Effortlessly removed 3 day goatee and reminded me how efficient and BBS a shave can be.
Noticed a streak of grey hair in front of left ear lobe where I missed spot.

Thanks @Mark1966. Nothing shabby about your setup - love the vintage combo of butterscotch Simpson and Gillette Slim.

I'll have to remember to stop experimenting with blades for this razor, this is the only one that's right. A perfect DSBBS for a wet, wild and woolly morning.

ARKO August has now finished for me. I really enjoyed ARKO with its happy fresh scent but I am looking forward to using my other soaps.
