I warned you about these blades, just when you think it is finished, it comes back to life again.

Addictive isn't it!:LOL::p(y)

Remember..... I don't hand palm stropping the blade from the outer pad when testing the DE blades, which means, I DON'T CHEAT!! like you muppet, I just flip the blade over after my second shaves until the end of blade life.

WIping the blade of contamination after a shave cheating?

Ok I agree I admit to cheating. 👍:rolleyes:

Sorry I haven't been able to post most of this week. My phone says it's full & won't let me take any photos. I cleared the data from some apps and now I can squeeze out a photo as long as I delete it after uploading! Work phones, god love them!

Pre-shave: Hot shower
Brush: BillyGoat Brushworks 26mm two band
Soap/Cream: A&E Kaizen
Razor: Fatip Grande
Blade: Minora (3)
Post-shave: Alum block, Nivea balm, Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve, Armaf Club de Nuit
While rummaging around in the drawer of 'also-rans', I spotted the Grande. I was gifted this in a PIF on B&B and found it to be a very nice razor. Time to try it with a Minora aboard.
I believe that this is chromed brass; it certainly seems hefty enough in the hand. The chrome slides over the face effortlessly and the teeth are not felt at all. Blade feel is almost totally absent which inspires confidence and a fast shave ensued. The end result was about as good as it gets and this razor just rose in the ranking a considerable amount. Loving the Kaizen too, a super DFS+. BTW, if anyone has a Fatip 'Lo Storto' (aka FOCS) languishing somewhere, I'm interested.

Pre-Shave: Hot Shower
Brush: Billygoat Brushworks - B1 28mm tuxedo
Soap/Cream: Noble Otter - Yehaw
Razor: Blackland - Vector Ti
Blade: Schick - Proline (9)
Post-shave: Noble Otter - Yehaw AS splash/ A&E skin food nourishing cream

2pass WTG = DFS+. Great shave.

The soap splash combo is an homage to Texas - by Bond No 9. Scent notes Click here.

Fairly light on the scent with both soap and splash. Would have liked just a touch more fragrance from both products. Overall nice.

Pre-Shave: Hot Shower
Brush: TF Customs - Hybrid Malle Burl Chamelion Holographic 30mm Rhodium
Soap/Cream: A&E - Indo Ink
Razor: Blackland - Vector Ti
Blade: Schick - Proline (10)
Post-shave: Noble Otter - Yehaw AS splash/ A&E skin food nourishing cream

2pass WTG + touchups = BBS, Great shave.
First BBS with the Vector, it was fairly easy and predictable to achieve.

The Soap splash, A&E - Indo Ink. Scent strength medium to strong for the soap and medium for the splash. Scent notes, Ink resins, absinthe, ylang ylang, courmarin, tonka, leather, Incense, oud, wood.

First up let me say this is a really well balanced soap. The base notes of the wood, oud, leather, tonka, resinous accord, interwind with the top and middle notes of the ylang absinthe, couramin, insense ( frankincense ). The scent note in my eyes that is a standout is the use of absinthe, as it holds the top and middle notes together as it stops the base notes from dominating the dry down. There is what I would describe as harmony of the scents where they all mix together and work. When I say work, I mean it works. A description of the scent would be walking through the a Thai or Balinese gift market on a rainy afternoon. It's neither a dark nor light fragrance rather something in the middle. The splash has decent projection, the dry down is nice, fresh and not obtrusive.

I maybe a little bias in my review but this defiantly reminds me of home. That can only mean (y)(y)
