with global warming... you may have to stop changing out your 'seasonal' software

I counting on those rising sea levels to make my house in Canberra an 'absolute beachfront' property ...

Comoy's of London with a 0.1μm hanging balsa edge stropped on clean leather. Lather was courtesy of Palmolive cream (Italian) faced lathered with a Chinese synthetic brush.

This shave was to compare the Palmolive cream against the Proraso green cream and the Nivea Men Sensitive cream. I found the Palmolive to be just a tad better than the Proraso and Nivea (which were pretty much the same). The Palmolive was a bit slicker and felt velvety on my skin.

Tomorrow will be the same but with my vintage Palmolive stick (Australian). I want to compare that against ARKO.

WR2 1.25
German Wilkie
Troycraft 2-band badger - Olympiakos
Tabac
Proraso Red

These wilkies are very sharp, smooth and they last. Pushed the last blade to 6-7 shaves and for me that's massive, i usually get 3-4. Only changed the blade as it lost some sharpness not the smoothness, grabbed another 100 to add to the stash.

German Wilkinson Sword blades are fantastic,... so are the vintage English ones. Does the top on your Proraso get loose on it's own?

German Wilkinsons are my favorite blades and are only blades that I purchased 100 of. I have light growth and can easily get 10 shaves from them.
Years ago I got almost 90 shaves out of one German Wilkinson Sword blade in a ball end Gillette OLD Type razor. Didn't flip or clean the blade, didn't loosen the razor head, just rinsed off the outside and put it away. Buttery smooth shaves until one day it just wouldn't remove the hair anymore. These days I shoot for about ten and done.

Yep one if my favourite blades for sure.. nah the cap stays tight.. that's the second bottle of splash I ever bought so half empty now 👍

But that does happen with the cap on some of my A&E bottles

Brush: Simpsons Trafalgar T3
Soap:
Arko
Razor:
Rockwell 6s R6
Blade: Wilkinson Sword
Post-shave: Nivea Deep splash

This mornings shave with the T3 and Arko didn't go as planned. I started by washing the brush, shaking out the water and placing it to the side. I then wet the face and rubbed the stick on my face for about 30 seconds. I took the brush to my face and when I splayed it to begin lathering, a foamy, watery messy was created. Really didn't expect how much water the T3 could hold. I washed the foam off and tried again. The resulting lather was marginally better but still shaved with it as I couldn't be bothered to try again. Given how poorly the shave went I won't comment of the performance of Arko. Thankfully the scent is mild as although I find the scent to be a pleasant, it's not something I would like to smell throughout the day. The T3 is a great brush. It has enough backbone without being too stiff and feels great on the face.

Every once in a while you have a shave that is so smooth, you almost feel like checking to see if you slipped a blade into your razor. Such was this shave.
