Must have been a dodgy blade as ended up with weepers during both shaves so binned the blade and will try with something more forgiving...?

Finally out of Covid self isolation and feeling largely fine with a pesky cough that just doesn't want to go way!

Stay Safe & Happy Shaves!

@neongas nice looking handle on that brush and interesting design.
Notice the snap regular on SOTD. Not finding it too mild?
What other common razor does it's aggression level compare to?
I enjoyed the boss knot too.

The Snap is mild but I wouldn’t say it’s
any milder than the Gillette TTOs I have, eg Rocket. Minora for me was the best blade in it; it proved quite efficient. I enjoy how it “sings” when shaving and it is a fairly nimble razor.

Get your hairy ass back inside, until, that pesky cough is all cleared.

SOTD – 26 JUN 2022

Sunday Covid isolation shave with Culmak“Shaving Soap”, a vegetal based recipe and comes as a very hard 99gm(3.5oz) refill puck. As a hard soap it’s at least twice the efficiency of soft soap so it’s equivalent to 200gm, so at about AU$13.00 delivered from Connaught in UK this is another “Awesome” Bang-for-Buck value soap. Culmak Shaving Brush Co Ltd has been around since 1805 in the UK and was originally an artistic brush maker that later started producing shaving brushes that were very popular at the end of 19thand start of 20th century's.

Shave Result: After some experiments I found the best way to get a good sample of the hard Culmak puck was to use a cheese grater to grate about 1.5gm of soap and press into my lather bowl with a couple drops of water to help stick the soap scrapings down. The soap took a little longer to produce lather but still ended up with a lovely rich creamy lather. I did a small change in my lathering procedure I used a 10ml syringe to add water to the build instead on my normal spray bottle (now relegated to IPL sanitiser spray). No issues with lather performance, it was great. To me the scent was a light pleasant generic citrus barbershop soapy aroma, scent strength was 3/10. There is not doubt that the Karve AL Overlander is now the cream of the crop in my DE collection, had a wonderful easy DFS with no irritations.

After seeing that razor, I thought, Mrs Nanook would absolutely love it as she has thing for bees. After a quick google search and seeing the price, what she doesn't know, she won't miss :LOL::LOL:

See, I have no recollection of the price. I may not be the only one this happens to -
