Preshave: cold water
Brush: Simpson Duke 2 badger
Soap: Shaver Heaven Extreme Arctic Mango
Razor: Gem 1912 SE
Postshave: cold water & alam block

Had to burn a new blade for using the SE so I'll go around 4 X shaves until it's blunt. Although I've got around 85-90 spare blades I hate the thought of wasting one. The Duke 2 is a big brush and produces a good lather especially when using fantastic lathering soaps like Shaver Heaven. The Extreme Arctic Mango has lost the extreme chill it used to have but still has a strong mango scent. Good shave. Easier tonight as I've got the SE angle sussed again now. Enjoying the Gem. A great shave a faster than stropping & welding a straight ... ... ... though lacks the satisfaction when finished even though the end result is every bit as smooth.

Pre-shave: Hot flannel, Pears soap
Brush: Troycraft "Opalesque" 28mm AP G5C
Soap: Vintage Yardley

Blade: Schick Proline
Post-shave: Shower, Thayer's Cucumber witch hazel, homebrew moisturiser, La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF50+, Oxford & Cambridge cologne
COTD: Rante Kapua Torajah, Sulawesi

It doesn't matter whether it's a balmy summer day or a frigid winter morning. Or just a wet and miserable morning like today's, this soap always delivers a sublime shave. Just 2+ passes and it still feels smooth 12 hours later.

Razor - Blackland SS Vector Polished
Blade - Schick Proline
Brush - Elite Razor 24mm Manchurian White Fan
Soap - ‌OSP Dark Matter Shaving Soap
Post - OSP Dark Matter Aftershave Lotion
I had planned to use OSP No. 8 this morning, but Darkmatter showed up in yesterday’s mail, so I decided to start with that. The performance proved to be even better than I hoped. I easily whipped up more than enough lather for three passes. The scent, while not very strong, was pleasantly floral. It’s definitely a keeper.

Same shave as yesterday, since you can't improve on perfection. According to a timeline I found here, the Royal Warrant appears to place the production of this soap between 67 and 73 years ago. It's impossible now for me to compare the scent of this with what I dimly remember from the late 70s and early 80s, but there's enough left for me to think "Aaahhhh..." whenever I use it. And the lather is nothing short of incomparable.

There you go, same soap and splash twice in a row, it must be OK.

Pre - Hot washcloth & bloom water
Razor - Barbaros TR-2
Blade - Wilkinson Sword Classic (Germany)
Brush - AP Shave Co. 24mm Synbad Fan
Soap - OSP No.8 Shaving Soap
Post - OSP No.8 Aftershave Lotion
Same great performance as yesterday. OSP No.8 is just as hard and thirsty a soap as Dark Matter, and the amount of lather it produced was just as amazing. While the scent again was weak, It seemed more fruity than the floral notes I picked up from Dark Matter.
