This is the first time I've used an Art of Shaving soap. I've read that there was a time when they were made by Valobra. This is not such a soap, though it's clearly milled. It's veg-based (I was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt on that, since there are now many good tallow-free soaps), and easily delivers lots and lots of nicely slick lather. The scent is fairly light, a fragrance oil, I think, rather than EO. Overall, a very pleasant shave.
But here's the kicker for me: it left my skin quite red and uncomfortable.
This doesn't happen to me very often, but such is life.
So out it goes...
