I might have missed it, been offline for a bit, but how did you end up fitting the knot?

Found a champagne cork in the work pantry (probably from an afterwork drinks sometime ago) which I cut and measured up as I went along, test fitting until I got my preferred loft. Used a UHU type glue to set. With the knot and the cork it still added noticeable weight but I think it’s just relative to its small size in the first place.

The cork is a good alternative to washers as I could cut to size and not waste glue filling holes like with washers.

I've tried the aluminium offering and found it very mild and far to light for my liking. Shaved well with a Kai blade though 👍

Thanks for your feedback. I read the review @Errol did too and immediately put this razor on a short list of potential purchases in the future, should I ever be able to justify the cost—another tick of approval.

I can't replace it for a while either, as the roads in both directions away from here are destroyed and under several feet of rapids.

Easy done. Up here on my Ararat, I never once had to worry that the house was in any danger. Even the chooks mostly decided to stay home and dry. The ducks, of course thought this was all just fucking great, and why couldn't we make this happen all the time.
