thanks mate appreciate that. Its really hard to explain, i really never thought it would be a big deal but it def feels like it is. I didnt suffer at all with the virus, it was very mild and had commons colds that were much worse, but here is something about being locked up that really sucks.. I can only imagine what people who have gone through extended periods of iso felt like

now I am on day 10 so technically it should be the last day in but I have a 'symptom' of a stuffy nose which i doubt is covid related but cos of that I think i have to isolate a further 4 days.

Today especially sucks cos its my bday :( my daughter who is just 9, blew up balloons and decorated the house a bit and put a lot of effort in but I couldnt even give her a hug which was upsetting.... only a few days left (y)
Happy Birthday mate and here's to a speedy recovery and enjoyed freedom from self isolation soon!

Happy birthday @StratMan
I too have a 9-year-old daughter and not being able to hug her would be like a dagger to the heart. Right from the start of this whole crapshow I've been worried that the mental health effects of lockdowns etc would be worse than the issues they prevented. I haven't had to do iso and my wife and I are both essential workers so have had little disruption to our normal lives, but I've definitely found it challenging and tough at various times. I've certainly taken the time to reassess what things are really important in life.

I hope your post-birthday hug is/was awesome.

Really looking forward to this month as I’ve decided to use various milled soaps for my shaves throughout March. This one was Saponificio Varesino, Dolomiti which produced a wonderful thick, yoghurty lather. The Lupo 72 + Nacet is proving to be a great combo.

George Butler "Shakespeare" No.3 from the 1860's, dressed in natural ivory scales. Maintenance is on diamond pasted balsa and a clean leather strop. Face lathered with Palmolive Classic stick (German) for a three-pass shave; WTG, XTG + fool's pass and a final XTG in the opposite direction. Result was my typical DFS+.

Did you rap a toilet cardboard paper roll around the Palmolive stick?

It’s not bloody winter yet to used the Nivea balm, get your hairy backside back into my famous Speedy Mix’s aftershave
Hahaha I'm just about out of Nivea Balm so will happily use the SpeedyPC mixture as refreshing on the face and head (y)

Pre-shave: Hot water, Pears soap
Brush: CaYuen "Watermelon" 28mm AP G5B
Soap: D.R. Harris - Windsor
Razor: Blackland Vector
Blade: Schick Proline
Post-shave: Shower, homebrew moisturiser, La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF50+, Oxford & Cambridge cologne
COTD: Shakisso Estate, Ethiopia

Much as some of the soft soaps and creams can be really nice, after a while I get a hankering for the hard stuff. DRH is always a treat to use.
