Back to work today and finishing off the LPL

Aussie Wednesday shave with Bad Bones Barber Shop Shaving Soap and is available from “AboveTheCollar” for AUD18. Scent description: “This sandalwood shaving soap has a wonderful earthy natural sandalwood scent. Not too strong, but subtlety lingers long after your shave.”

Shave Result: Bad Bones soap has a hard texture, but pliable enough to scrap a generous quarter teaspoon soap scoop and squash in the bottom of my lathering bowl. Had no problems quickly generating rich, medium density shiny lather. Lather performance was great, Irate this a Tier 2 performer. The scent is a very pleasant Sandalwood aroma with scent strength on the mild side 4/10. The “Standard Razors” AL worked well with the Wizamet on it’s sixth use, still feels sharp and smooth, to give an excellent DFS.

A couple of months ago I mentioned a mild dissatisfaction with the Omega 20248 knot I then had in this brush handle, and @Holiday very generously volunteered his 10098 to replace it. (y) Yet another example of the fine spirit of generosity I've encountered in members of this forum. Thanks @Holiday! :D There's a world of difference between the two knots, even though the price point is similar. Omega brushes seem to be made to be cannibalised, so extracting the knot was easy, and I only had to flatten off the bottom of the plug, since @Irish left me plenty of room in the socket of the handle.

Soap: Saponificio Vareniso - Artica Tundra

Brush: Yaqi High Mountain 2 band (I love this brush!) :love:

Aftershave: SV Desert Vetiver

The Karve C plate is very smooth and even works ATG under my nozzle but….my wife remarked “eww…you’re bleeding” as soon as she saw me. Just tiny micro-weepers but girls don’t like kissing blood. I need to concentrate for tomorrow’s shave.

While shaving, I had been thinking about my recent banning from Bugger & Blood and also from another shaving cadre. Trivial reasons, IMO, and they could have simply deleted my posts and spanked me. As well as having been banned, they’ve also blocked my IP address so I can’t even browse.

Anyway, every cloud has a silver lining, and mine was that I went on a little spending spree, and it’s all been arriving at once it seems. Soaps, razors, aftershaves, blades, etc. I even bought a nickel re-plated NEW short comb. Too much stuff really. (y)

So what, if you don't mind me asking, was your indiscretion at Bugger & Blood? I've heard they're a bit ban-happy there. Blocking your IP from browsing is just rude, but of course there are ways around it. I don't really mind the occasional slap here, and I've always known I had it coming. :p

I quoted an article in their gun thread. It didn’t go down very well, and one of the mods was incensed that I quoted something from a “liberal media outlet”. He asked me why I posted the link, and I replied that it was a gun thread, and he then banned me. I wasn’t cheeky or rude. It’s a strange forum in some ways…not matey like P&C.

Perhaps a bit mischievous, I know. I’m not anti-guns or anything though I do abhor mindless violence and self-serving weaponry sales to all and sundry.

I only ever owned a shotgun myself but enjoyed using quite a few in the RAF (a long time ago!), and ‘played’ with more recent stuff in SE Asia. I should have listed my favourites in B&B’s gun section. :LOL:

I too am proudly banned from Rat~n~Sickle, their loss not mine. And if that cadre is the one I think it is, they're all B&B bastages anyway, so they were watching you like a hawk just waiting for an excuse to play with the banhammer.
