Ooh. What's your opinion of those Treet blades, @TobyC? Now you've got me considering alternatives (to Personna) for my Sabre, just when I had happily settled in the supposition that I wouldn't need any. Are those carbon or stainless? Are there any other GEM blades you think are worthy of consideration?GEM 1912 with the round brass handle

Exactement, I was merely being facetious...
Treet carbon steel, fantastic blade but you have to take it out and pat it dry or it will rust. Sharp and smooth good for at least seven shaves, it's the only other blade I've used.Ooh. Thanks for that. I've been tempted by the Personna carbon blades too (the manufacturer claims they're sharper than their stainless, and that makes perfect sense to me). I can live with drying off the blade if the shave is worth it.Treet carbon steel, fantastic blade but you have to take it out and pat it dry or it will rust. Thanks for waking me up out of bed on a smelly morning.GEM 1912 with the round brass handle

You're more than welcome my friend, glad I could bring joy to you on this fine day. Thanks for waking me up out of bed on a smelly morning.
Hard to find these days, Amazon or ebay is your best bet if you can't find a local source. Can you please give me a pointer as to where the Treets are available from.
ATT SB90 + Alpha Outlaw
Super Iridium (2)
Saponifico Varesino soap
Maseto 26mm SilverTip
Hmmmm…..the ATT SB90 shave was a bit tuggy so I finished off with the Outlaw, and then but then the Maseto knot decided to separate itself from the handle.
The machining on the SB90 isnt good. The cap and baseplate are misaligned.
