Yesterday I shaved with this Titan ACRO T.H.64 directly off its bevel set on 1k and 3k Chinese synthetic. It went reasonably well, all things considered. After that shave, I refined the edge on 8k and 10k Chinese synthetics for this morning's shave.

There was no noticeable improvement from yesterday WTG and it was noticeably worse XTG. With the fool's pass, it wouldn't even cut the whiskers.

I gave up midway through and reached for another SR, the next on my pile. I didn't care what it was. I just wanted a comfortable shave. What I got was my ⅞ custom Colling Spanish point.

Problem solved and a great close comfortable shave was had.

I don't know what went wrong with the T.H.64's honing. It could be the stone, the steel, me or some of each. Anyway, I am no longer going to play around with the T.H.64's honing. I will now finish it off on lapping films and diamond pasted balsa strops. I've had enough!

What's the raster like to shave with?
Performance is pretty good considering the price, especially now that I have the Vector to compare with, I can’t fault it. I would consider it low level aggressive and efficient. Head tolerances are so so. Handle is where it lets itself down for me as I don’t consider it particularly ergonomic for my hand size, hence the silicone rings for extra grip.

Takes SOTD picture looking forward to a nice relaxing Saturday shave ...

Gets a text from tradie straight afterwards as brush is soaking 'first job cancelled, will be at your house in 5-10 minutes'

[sigh]

Still a decent, if rushed, shave

Pre: Proraso red pre-shave cream
Brush: TF Customs Woodrot
Soap: Henri et Victoria - Terre d'Henri
Razor: Gillette Adjustable M3 Slim #8
Blade: Minora #2
After: Alum block, Henri et Victoria - Terre d'Henri After Shave Balm

This soap is likely to be my next "Finished Products" post. Getting a bit low now. Great lather!

Pre-shave: Hot shower
Brush: Billy Goat Brushworks/Maggard SHD 26mm two band
Soap: Salt Lake Soaps 'Persian Lime & Lemongrass'
Razor: Razorock Lupo 95
Blade: BiC Chrome Platimum (1)
Post-shave: Alum block, Razorock Emperor, Armaf ‘Club de Nuit’
I had no need for another 100 blades, but for $11 I couldn't resist the Bics. I've used them a couple of times before, courtesy of a gift tuck from VSHOD, and found them to be great blades.
And so they were again this time around, coupled very nicely with the fantastic Lupo 92 and a great lather from Salt Lake Soaps. Effortless DFS+.

Managed to get a nice edge on the TI#69 with coticules. Keeping with the French theme
Have never got tree lopping or HHT from a coti edge but after a good strop they come to life.
