I have all three of the AP Shave Co G5 knots, and this is the first, least promising, to see active service. The G5C fan is currently in the hands of @TroyTools to be fitted to a sexy new handle, and the G5A will follow when I've cleaned up the silicone from its temporary setting. This G5B is the stiffest of the three, quite scrubby but also paints well end doesn't hog lather. A lot like a 2-band badger. The 28mm is a nice size for the milled soaps I'm currently enjoying.

First time in over 40 years with a boar brush, almost unbelievable. It'll never replace my synthetics, but it's nice to have contrast. I do enjoy the way the bristles, once deflowered, lose the primness shown in the picture and now look decidedly disheveled, dare I say ravished.

It failed to make much of an impression on this soap, however. In the bin it goes, unless anyone here wants it. Mrs Gargravarr wants the wooden bowl, and she can have it. I had considered giving it a few more goes before giving up on it, but the scent is pretty meh and doesn't reward the effort of trying to work up a decent lather. No wonder TOBS discontinued it, that was a good call.

ARKO and Lilac Vegetal in the one shave. Now surely THAT is more effective protection against anything wanting to come close - who needs masks and vaccinations!
