This little "thurry" is proving very effective at maintaining a sharp edge

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Morris & Forndran Brad Sears L7 Tigris Finest Badger
Soap: Czech and Speake No 88
Razor: Wolfman WR1
Blade: Vintage NOS Personna P74 (3)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel, Pitralon Classic Aftershave Lotion
Scent: Floris Elite EdT

The forte of this M&F Tigris brush is triple milled hard soaps, thanks to its dense knot and strong backbone. And they don't come much harder (or better) than the Valobra tallow base used by Czech & Speake.
A luxurious shave.

Nice one. We don't see too many of these aluminium soap tubs from C&S here, not surprising given their cost. (Mine was a gift.) The good news is that they still appear to be available (with the Valobra contents) at a bargain price of $249.

Post-shave: Shower, homebrew moisturiser, La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF50+, Oxford & Cambridge cologne

This huge brush is a magical pairing with the Castle Forbes, it's like lathering with a cloud. I took over ¾ of an hour over today's shave, I enjoyed it that much. And all the more for having done so without comment from SWMBO...

Between being away on the weekend at my FiL's place and going away for work this week - got to sneak in a decent shave!

After lathering with an La Toja stick for the past few days, this morning I decided to see how it compares the our beloved ARKO. For an edge I chose a Revisor 6-0035, the same as I had previously used with La Toja the first three times.

The result was that I found ARKO just a little slicker, not by much but it was slicker. The resultant shave was my normal DFS+. I couldn't ask for a better shave.

What? You rub the stone around your face once you are finished with the razor as a face polishing type thing?
