Pre-shave: Hot shower
Razor: Yaqi Tile
Blade: Gillette Nacet
Soap: B&M Seville
Post-Shave: Alum, SpeedyPC's witch hazel blend

3 day growth - Mild, bulletproof shave, but clean and efficient. I prefer the Nacets over the BIC blades, but will give both another go. It's really a great razor to shave with. No nicks or cuts, and limited feedback with the alum, only on the neck.

@Nanook where did you get your cloud blades?

Tempted to crack out one of the other new brushes... What is the advantage of a badger vs synthetic?

Spoiler alert please before subjecting us to teenybopper vloggers

I actually prefer a bit of lava stone to make it red raw and bleeding of course followed up with alum block :)

Fantastic!

So you will not be needing that "Americana' brush any more ...

How’s my secret recipe ;)

It's fantastic! Have you tried adding other essential oils to add to the scent slightly? I think I saw some posts where you had lavender oil and something else?

I was thinking maybe cassia(cinnamon) and lemon myrtle or bergamot might change it up a little, but if others have experimented already, I'd be keen to hear experiences.

Shame, Taiga was one of the few new releases that interested me from B&M. Hit me up if you feel like swapping something for it :D

I used Eigengrau for the first time last night. It's supposed to be a similar sort of scent to Taiga i.e, cold and damp winter night. It's not for everyone but it's far better than Taiga as you do get the sense of

@thatguy Hey Mate, The Wet Shaving Co sells them. I tried an Astra last night and was impressed with the way if felt in the Delorean SS as well.

I wouldn’t add any essential oils, because, they’ll completely clashed with any fragrance ETD or cologne. I strongly recommend not to add essential oils into the witch hazel, and this can irritate your skin, if you clashed any fragrance cologne.

I only add tea tree oil which is an antibacterial, but, not too much which can burn the skin and also the plastic bottle, 5 drops is the maximum benefit for your skin.

FYI below about Tea Tree oil

Pre Shave: Hot Towel
Razor: YAQI Delorean
Blades: Astra
Soap: B&M Eigengrau
Post: B&M Eigengrau Aftershave Balm
Brush: OUMO Compass Titanium

Eigengrau is much better at capturing the scent of a snowy and damp forest than Taiga. I wasn't real pleased with the scent at first opening of the tub but once on the face it settles down nicely, even if the missus thinks it smells like wet dirt

If you like that kind of scent, you might just like NO Hamami (a wet stone fragrance). I love that one, but Mrs Gargravarr hates it ("Eurrgh, what's that stink?") so in the interests of minimising domestic friction I haven't replaced it.

Pre-shave: Hot water, Pears soap
Brush: Forgotten Art "Tarkine" 27mm piggy-wig
Soap: Stirling Bergamot Lavender
Razor: Alpha Claymore Evolution
Blade: Kai PINK
Post-shave: Shower, homebrew moisturiser, La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF50+, Stirling Bergamot Lavender EDT
COTD: Shakisso Estate, Ethiopia

A small correction to yesterday's SOTW post, the blade is a Kai PINK. It was left in the razor since before I went away, and it's doing fine. So I'll leave it in there until it's not.

That's good to know as I've been eying off Hamami for a long time now (y)

Another that's similar is Chiseled Face's Sherlock, which is another that Mrs Nanook isn't a fan of :D

IF Mrs Nanook keeps annoying you, you'll know which shaving soaps she'll hate and that way she'll back off

And IF you ever need something stronger........ Get ARKO!!!! I'm sure she'll hate the smell of lemony urinal cake (PISSED!!)
