Away last weekend using my travel kit and Gillette Excel twin blade cart.

Was SOOOOO looking forward to a nice shave this morning ...

... but my son has COVID, and my wife has been with him the last week so I've been sent into 'iso' in our guest bedroom and bathroom.

Grabbed my shave kit last night, took out the used blade and put safely in my blade tin and grabbed a Shick Plus Platinum dispenser ...

... but I discovered this morning that it was EMPTY!

No blade = no shave, what a miserable start to the day

First shave with this soap, @SpeedyPC and @EJ_DE98

The scent strength is somewhat mild on this one. By that I mean it is not going to fill up your bathroom with aroma. In fact, I did not smell very much at all from the lathering bowl.
But once lathered on your face that distinct and unmistakable sandalwood scent hits your nostrils in a very pleasant way. Creamy, earthy, nutty?, slightly sweet and spicy kind of bark smell.
Very naturally smelling. Yeah, I like it a lot, and would recommend it - just don't expect a strong, punchy and spicy kind of thing.
I really, really wish I could get the alcohol splash with this one. If someone can recommend a nice sandalwood splash available to us here in Australia, I would appreciate it.

The omnibus-base is very, very soft. I could not make myself lather straight from the tub.
Once scooped out, the soap smears into the inside of your bowl instantly. It's so light you can almost not feel it.
I started lathering with a damp brush (squeezed out the excess water) and then started adding water slowly

I got a really dense and creamy lather with ease.
This lather needed even a little bit more water after this photo.
I did not use any other postshave products today - the skin feels really good!

Thanks mate. They both seem OK, although son had a rough day on Thursday. If I got it now I should be OK for a conference I’m hosting from 16 May, but getting it next week would be a nightmare!!!

Fantastic IMO, they're probably the best vintage single edge razor you can buy, along with the Ever~Ready, Star, etc.
