No frills place - sheets of wax paper and plastic knife and fork with roll of paper towel!

Lunch BBQ Mecca bucket list - Top 50 worlds best BBQ places and best Texas BBQ 2017. Also recommended by Anthony Bourdain. It was awesome !! Low and slow chicken, turkey, sausage, pork, beef brisket with slaw and Mac and cheese share platter for 4. Plus they let us have a look at the smokehouse out the back (of course we asked - coming all the way from Australia good to have the full tour)

Hmmmm, maybe. Pasteur's on 34th is amazing too. Will say it is on par as I can't decide which one was the MOST amazing!

Food goes in, food comes out, never to be seen again (ideally).

Shaving stuff gets bought, can be sniffed, used, carressed, adored, showed off etc etc.

Food may go in and come out - but the memory remains!

Certainly my clothes still smell of the visit to the smokehouse :)

Seriously - don't you have memories of great meals from many years ago? This will be one of them for me

Yeah i agree the memories remain and so on.... but Pasteur's! Thats virtual heaven. Or was it the trip to Katz's Deli right beforehand for a Pastrami Sandwich that i recall. Hmmm yes, maybe it was....:unsure::unsure:

Thank you. Must admit I had pooh-poohed the idea of hotpot (steamboat) before as the one I had in Malaysia wasn't very flavourful, but now I've found the spicy and numbing Sichuan variant and it's fantastic!
