I've had luck hunting in the wild and I concur.
It's amazing!
Can't wait to see pic's of the razors.

Just when i was about to give up hunting too. Been saving the luck up for months it seems.

Won a low-ball bid, so pretty happy.

Seller listed it as a henkotsu. Have no reason to doubt it, though really got no way of confirming it just yet.

Reckon my weekend will be interesting, we'll see how I go on the jnat - first time honing a kamisori. Also going to try my hand at the rattan handle wrap. Got a nice length from Japan arrived last week in anticipation.
 
I got a mail call from @stillshunter today, some blades and three soaps samples marked A, B and C with a message to guess the soaps. Will try over the next few days to post pictures and my scent reviews on them, could be interesting to see how wrong I get them :)
 
This is a completely left field idea for you growing number of kamisori users (I still suspect that subconsciously you all realised there was no way you could justify spending more $$$ on safety razor gear and in an epiphany a lil man in the back of your head realised you could go down this path and get kamis, stones etc etc).

Like I said very left field idea but @stillshunter 's butt bare kami made me think it'd look absolutely badass with something like this on it (just a random example though I think that carbon fibre look against the polished steel as a contrast looks wundarbar!). Waterproof, great grip in the wet, very cost effective as you're only using short lengths yada yada yada. There's also excellent high quality 'leather look' handlebar wraps available that'd also contrast very nicely with the metal brutishness of the kami's business end. Anyway just an idea so don't put me in the stocks for it! (y)

Yes it would look great but it's not very Japaneasy. No need to drag out the inevitable in the stocks, you'll be beheaded with one deft stroke from a bamboo clad Samurai sword instead.
