Well, you lot are to blame for me buying a bottle of Redbreast...and I am quite happy with it!
Lovely drop.
But then I thought about my first love (RUM), and decided I also needed a better drop of that.
So bought a bottle of Angostura Rum.
So I'm slowly moving more upmarket, and the taste difference is pronounced.
I'm not buying anymore real cheap stuff.
Anyway, it's Autumn here and the cooler nights have demanded a Rum so the Angostura has taken a few hits.
Unopened is a bottle of Teeling Small Batch that's needing a jolly good thrashing too.

The big plus is that the whisky crowd havn't figured out how good it is yet.
Ssshhhh... It'll only take one idiot journalist to write it up and we won't be able to afford it anymore. Bitter memories of when Wynn's Coonawarra Hermitage used to be $4 in the bargain bin in Nedlands (in the late 80s) until someone wrote it up and it was 5 times as expensive the next day. :(
 
I have started training for the BJCP. We have done two sessions and are through light lagers, Czech lagers and European light and dark lagers. Euro heavy lagers coming up.
