I love my Semogue's, yet the Thäter is in a totally different league!
When I purchased it, I was apprehensive, yet once I used it, OMG!

Do we have to all get the same thing? I think the swirling coloured handles don't look as good as the plain ones.

I'm in for sure. I kinda like the idea of Thater and Paladin also (if possible).
For the Shavemac, I would go
2 Band
Knot: 24mm
Knot shape: Bulb
Loft: 50mm or 52mm
and for colour probably not blue, handle shape anything that's comfortable I guess.

It looks like we will hit the 20 mark - maybe 25 - and I am happy keep it at this manageable size.

Handle Shape: 167
Color: Jade, but they're all good other than faux ivory.
Knot Shape: Fan Shape
Quality and Size: 26 mm Silvertip 2-Band or better.
Hair length: 52 mm
Shavemac logo: Logo on bottom

Something similar by another maker I would be happy with too assuming equal quality.

@filobiblic just made a point to me, which I think is very valid and he suggested I should make it here clear as well:

There are 2 reasons to do a group buy:
A - to get a better price
B - to get something unique

And while of course I would never say no to A (and will definitely try to get the best deal for us) - the reason I am doing this is only B: I want a special and unique item, that only our group has - and be it only the engraving or the colour of the handle or whatever...but it has to be unique to us.

I am just saying this, to avoid any disappointments - I am trying to get all your thoughts together in order to find a consensus that suits most.

But at the end of the day - it will be 1 handle, 1 colour and most likely (depending on who we go through), 1 knot.

The brush will definitely be engraved for us - and again I will listen to every one and try to find a consensus.

Having said all of this: it is also definitely going to a great brush - else it would defeat the purpose - I really hope you are all still on-board and not too disappointed in me, but I just had to make this clear at an early stage...

I think all of us here appreciate that and appreciate the effort you're putting in. If it's not the brush for me so be it, but I'm sure no one could be disappointed in you. Once again, thanks for going to the trouble. I can only imagine what a huge PITA this must be.
