How many of them Swedes have you ?
I've 2x scuttles.
Perhaps we should talk trades ?

Sorry, not for trade :D You don't trade Swedes, you lock them up in a volt and keep watch.

Nice scuttle but the 125$ of international shipping would kill my wallet : / I'll probably buy a Dirty Bird or a Sara Bonnyman (Canadian Scuttle).

It was only $16 for shipping to Australia. So $71 total delivered. Seems pretty good value.

What is with the extra bowl?

Mate I'd ask the maker herself - @HGpottery - she'll answer this in a jiffy.

But from her website:

The small cup is used for the soap. Shavers grate the soap and press it into the cup, others melt the soap and pour it into the cup. Pre lather pickup onto the brush is done in the cup and lathering is done in the scuttle. When finished, the cup is placed upside down into the scuttle, keeping the soap ready, moist and reduces the soap from cracking.

Oops, sorry, nanna nap@

I think a custom title - 'Trade King' might soon be in order.
As your balance very well knows, I don't just dabble in trades, yet enable too.
Still surprised you foregone that Merkur.

*distracts Homer with something shiny*
I could be entertained with other vintage options :)

Was out for dinner last night so shaves late.

Aesop (MuJagOp)
Ingrams menthol
Mark Weber
SI

All good. Weber is a nice razor, but I think I'd buy a handle and keep my merkur heads, as it fits those.

Hope you enjoyed using it :)

What do you prefer about the Merkur heads mate? More mild, forgiving, smooth, shiny?

Discovered why my Fatboy shave with the p74 didn't work as well as planned. The bay doors appear out of alignment in one of the corners.
I'm presuming a drop would do that? Not that I remember it happening.
Voskhod
Omega
FB
Godrej menthol
Aqua velva.

Feels like my face had been abused where the blade was it of alignment.

Muhle Blade (0)
Muhle R41 head on Weber bulldog handle
Mikes Hungarian Lavender
Bestshave #6 Horse

The two Muhles do not compliment each other. Very average shave I only saved by changing the Muhle blade out into my DE86 head that was nearby

Muhle STF brush
TOBS Avocado
Gillette New LC
No blade! Dammit!

Currently away for a few days in the city. Brought everything for a nice shave except blades. Boo!

What are the Woolies blades like? Or anyone know where I can buy a small pack in Sydney CBD?

Which city? Maybe you could be unfortunate enough to meet one of the members here and "borrow" a blade or two?

Brazilian made Wilkies aren't they? Gawd and I think they're like $10 for a packet of 10 or something insane!!!!!!

If no barbers are open (they would sell you a pack for next to nothing if they have DE blades) - also check any Indian or ethnic grocery or cigarette store.

Failing all that you can DEFINITELY get blades and loads more here at Turnley's (they should be open):

Might be able to get a few more things while you're at it. Hope this helps.

Brush: Plisson synthetic
Soap/Cream: Jabonman shave soap "Brisa de Oriente"
Razor: 38C
Blade: GBE [6]
After-shave: Jabonman "Brisa de Oriente" Aftershave milk

Great shave. Smell and feel like a king.
I'm picking up cinnamon and gingerbread in the scent- could just be that it's close to Christmas.

Thanks for the tip on Turnleys. I needed some more Astra SP blades anyway, and they sold 100 pack for $20, which is reasonable for a physical store. Had a reasonable selection of Omega and Proraso products products too.

Nice little shave again this morning. This would be the first time in my life i have shaved 4/5 days straight with no irritation. Would be 4 shaves on the Polsilver blade now, maybe noticed a slight loss of performance. I will change the blade tomorrow anyway, not risking a bad shave for a few cents.

Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson
Razor: Gillette #58
Blade: P74 - shave 8
Soap/Cream: Proraso Sandalwood cream (again!)
Aftershave: AoS Sandalwood gel

Maybe I'm getting the knack of this P74 - certainly better in this razor than the Slim. Not outstanding but OK

Hang on, you only reported (what I thought was) your first shave yesterday, and now you have had 8?
