@silver LOVE that bloody Chubby 2 Best Badger as I can see is very blooming and bloody wide  are you sure you're head is big enough for that brush ;)

It has certainly bloomed well compared to the first day I picked it up from mensbiz in the royal arcade. Absolutely no regret getting it. Funny you mentioned it, I LOL'ed while I watching Eric Burgos's videos on youtube about the comparison between his chubby 2 silvertip badger (actually says silvertip badger on the brush handle, must be a legacy brush) vs the chubby 3 in super, he made a remark about his huge his chubby 3 is and he got lather in his eye. He mentioned that the chubby isn't a great face lather (my initial thought was...what?), it's a great head latherer. Funny.

Honestly, I find the chubby 2's size just nice honestly. It's not as big as the 3, which I'd imagine it would be equivalent to picking up a wild badger in the wilds and load it up and start lathering it on your face. Being in Best, I like how it gives me that nice scrub.

Beautiful setup and fantastic picture of a blooming chubby! Have you thought about pairing the Slant with a milder blade?
Yea, I need to definitely. Reason I kept to the feather was because I bought 200 of them...... Any one else?
Thanks to @Lifes a Peach , he gave me some sample blades. I am keen to try out the Voskods after reading some good comments from @Normie . I have a few of them in the blade stash.

@alfredus I can see you're starting to fall in love again with that bloody blooming chubby 2 best again on you're shopping list ;) and me too :sneaky::sneaky::sneaky: if I can

Good timing! Simpson's site has some LE faux Italian Marble manchurian chubby 2 on sale. Not too expensive, a couple hundred grams of your liver, and maybe just one kidney - Shipped to your door step.

Chubby 2 Best is already in the Den - Chubby Manchurian...maybe during the next GFC :D :D :D

@silver yeah well I'll be dead by the time I rip out my liver and kidney at the same time :p and that's nearly $480 AUD for a faux Italian Marble manchurian chubby 2

Hump SOTD

Brush:
Paladin
Soap: PannaCrema Lavandotto
Razor: Weber PH
Blade: Solingen Timor (3)
After: Thayers & Agua de Colonia Alvarez Gomez

Day 3 with the Timor blade. This time in a Weber PH.
Nothing to write home about (n) Great lather but the shave lacked smoothness and glide.

SOTD (20/4/16 - Paris, France)

Razor:
Gillette Sensor Excel
Blade: Gillette Sensor Excel Cart (3)
Brush: Muhle Travel Synthetic
Soap/Cream: D R Harris Arlington Shave Stick
Aftershave: Floid Vigoroso

Nothing much to report - shave the same as yesterday really. Quick one this morning as we left Paris for a day of trains -

TGV from Paris to Zurich - these things are FAST! -

From Zurich on an IC (intercity) train to Chur, changing there for a regional to Samedan and finally a local to Pontresina. We are taking the 'scenic route' from Paris to Florence inspired by a great website about train travel (especially in Europe) - our route here: http://www.seat61.com/BerninaExpress.htm

Switzerland is amazing -

The Alps incredible -

We have another full day of travel tomorrow to Florence so I may not get a chance to post a SOTD in the morning but if I could shave on my balcony -

I've seen some beautiful places in my time but here I am having my breath taken away every minute - pictures don't do it justice - travel to Switzerland if you get the chance.[/url]

You are right @Mark1966, Switzerland is indeed very beautiful. Is that lather every where?

Razor: Rockwell 6S #6
Blade: Permasharp (1)
Soap & asb: Jabonman Dama de Noche
Brush: Shavemac custom

First outing with setting 6 on the Rockwell. Approached with caution but felt very safe after the first pass. Probably got too cocky and gave myself a nick on the Adam's apple, and just to the left (didn't even feel it till I saw the Crimson flow). Soap was absolutely brilliant. Pre-lather I was a little nervous about the scent, but once lathered it was a well rounded frangipani like scent to me.

Razor: EJ DE89
Blade: Voskhod (2)
Brush: Simpson Duke 2 pure
Soap: Cella
After: Alum, Myrsol Formula 'C'

Nice 3 pass this morning (W,X,X). Not enough water in the Cella for the first pass, so not enough glide for the razor. Second and third passes were much more comfortable. Not as good as the previous couple of shaves, but still enjoyable nonetheless. Will have to experiment more with the soap.

Pre: GFT lime skin food
Badger: little chubby 2
Soap: SV 70th
Razor: iKon B1 Slant
Blade: Feather
Post: alum, Thayer, tsw asb sample

Can't get enough of this soap. Chubby 2 is an amazing brush. [emoji7] [emoji7]

The slant has been a little mean to me lately. Going to give it a break, back to the OSS for a bit.

I wish I could get some more of the stray whisker asb. It's very nice. Clean scent and leaves a great face feel.

Wow... The bloom on the chubby is amazing!

This blade is the one Mum bought for me off the mature aged daughter of its original owner, a Barber who's shop was in Wooloongabba, Brisbane. I cleaned it up and Mark honed it for me. Nice little blade giving a respectable shave but not good enough to make it into regular use. Still, cool gift, and a bit of Aussie history. It will take pride of place on my display shelf. I can see myself pulling this one out for mums birthday and the like.

The wee Scot continues to impress! Gobs of lather left over after three passes. I'm going to have a strong few words with my duke 2.

Shaver Heaven - appropriately named. Enough said.

Yea it's a very proud looking brush. If only my missus could see what I see. To her it's just another bunch of hair... She even asked me why not get the body shop ones? Same same. No.... It's not...

Still getting a few lose hairs every once in a while. I guess with a brush this dense, it's no biggie.

Preshave: Proraso Red
Razor: Standard
Blade: Personna Med Prep
Brush: Shavemac 177
Soap: PannaCrema San Francesco
Post Shave: Nivea Balm and Clubman Pinaud
Three pass shave. Pushed the PannaCrema with water today and was rewarded with slick and a very cushiony lather. The scent was evident throughout the bathroom. The shave was great with not a sign of irritation anywhere. Post shave is excellent with a well moisturised and smooth face. Happy days. Really enjoying your pics @Mark1966 .

Brush: St James of London 24mm super badger
Soap: Shaver Heaven Lilith
Razor: Leresche #77
Blade: Gillette Bleue Extra
After-shave: PAA i.e. AS & cologne

The scent on the Lilith is beautiful and the performance is superb. Great cushion and slickness.
The razor continues to astound. It was another wonderful shave for me. Happy days!
