First pass was a little under moisturised, second better and third is the best.
Fantastic finisher and I just love how soothing and wonderfully scented it is. Top performer gold standard product.

Brush: Chubby 3
Razor: Wilkinson Sticky
Blade: English Wilkinson
Soap: MWF
A/S: GFT Skinfood
Cologne: GFT Eucris
Quick, easy and flawless three pass shave. I always forget how effective and smooth the Wilkinson sticky is, almost no blade feel but it almost never fails to deliver a BBS.

Nice choice on the cologne, @Nightguard.

Razor: Weber Polished Head on Bulldog Handle
Blade: Vintage Schick Super Platinum (7)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson
Soap/Cream: Jaboman Mountain
Aftershave: Myrsol Formula K

Nice :)

Razor: Gillette slim on 5
Blade: Vintage Schick Platinum Plus (2)
Brush: Omega 10005
Soap/Cream: Speick stick
Aftershave: Aqua Velva

Exact same ingredients as my last shave, which was great itself. But this was one of those legendary shaves where everything just seems to come together perfectly.
Fantastic lather from the speick and omega, then it felt like I had no blade in the razor whatsoever as it glided over my face.
Ended up as one of the best, smoothest shaves I've had in a very long time. And no sting from the AS splash.

Pre-Shave
- Blind Barber Facewash
Brush: - Shavemac 2 Band Custom
Soap: - Tabula Rasa Cardamom
Razor: - iKon Slant DLC with bamboo handle
Blade: - PSI (1)
Post Shave: - Myrsol Agua de Limon

Tabula Rasa doesn't get much of a look in round here. It is expensive for what you get. But it produces a ridiculously slick lather with great post-shave feel.

Cold water shave
Soap: Shaver Heaven Sensuous Sandlewood
Brush: Shaving Factory Eco-Medium (thanks @King of Authentic Shave )
Face lather
Razor: Gold Monkey 6/8
Post: Alum block (thanks @King of Authentic Shave )
A/S: Pinaud Clubman (thanks @King of Authentic Shave )

Mid-morning shaves on a Saturday are so enjoyable. Plenty of light, plenty of coffee consumed, wife out for breakfast and Bible study at her friends, just me and the Man Cave.

Shaver Heaven soap performed to it's usual high standards. Brush is "scritchy" when compared to a badger but as I enjoy a brush I can "feel" rubbing my face I found this was enjoyable. Blade was sharp and smooth; I'll be smiling for hours today. Finished with Alum so the face tightened up nicely. Pinaud has that familiar smell of classic barber store, not these modern shops in shopping centres. I just wish the scent would be stronger for longer. Great shave.

Probably the most enjoyable shave of the week for me is a Saturday morning shave, plenty of good coffee and a bit of peace and quiet :P to set the scene

What setting do you have your Progress on?

I leave it on 3.5 which has always worked well for my WTG XTG WTG routine. Occasionally if my skin is feeling a bit sensitive/dry I will pull it back to 3 but that's a rare occasion.

Do you use a Progress yourself ?

Yes I have had it for 14 months but could not get a good shave out of it. Came back to it and it is brilliant but I do not go beyond 1.5 on mine. Paired with a feather it is now a great shaver.

@todras / @Osman thought i would chime in as well i have a Progress and a Mergerss its interesting how different settings suit different people what suits me is (3) WTG, XTG, ATG and then because of the way my whiskers grow on my neck ATG on (4) working my way in from each ear lobe on the neck only, Sometimes if i have a four day growth my first pass WTG on (5) and then i dial her back.

The variability in shaving never ceases to amaze me, the only constant is that it's different for everyone. I have thought about dialing the progress around as I shave but I am happy with the results I get day in day out so it's something I have never messed around with. When I first got the Progress some time ago I started at 1 for a shave or two, then slowly dialed it up until I found 3.5 worked consistently well for me.

On a side note and probably offtopic, Ive been meaning to buy a mergress for months, it seems that whenever Bullgoose has them in stock Ive forgotten all about them, when I remember and go to look they are out of stock. I also looked at an English? or Scottish? shave company that offered their own take on the progress with brass, chrome or gold adjustment knob replacements... I can't for the life of me remember their name though but I remember they were fairly pricey.
