Preshave: Musgo Real Glyce Soap and Proraso sandalwood preshave cream
Razor: Weber Polished Head on an Ikon handle
Blade: Feather(1)
Brush: Epsilon Horse
Soap: Caties Bubble LPV
Post Shave: Loccitane BAVX balm and Pure II Insurrection
Three pass shave. The feather is a good match for the Weber as I was really done after two passes but completed three as I was enjoying it so much. Couple of squirts of the Pure II Insurrection and good to go. Very fruity to start but settles into a woody, birch type scent. Great scent.

Black/Platinum day today :)

Pre-Shave: Shower

Soap/Cream: Fine Accoutrements Platinum Shaving Soap
Brush: Mühle Silvertip Fibre V2.0 Shaving Brush
A/S: Fine Accoutrements Platinum After Shave

Thoughts on the Fine shaving soap. The splashes are excellent so quite interested in the soaps.

Shaver Heaven - Vanilla Oak (Thanks Brendan )
Feather AS D1
Vodskhod
Semogue 1305
Prorasso White Balm
GFT Ajaccio Violet

Right well after K Shave Worx yesterday I was hoping to get a lot better feel out of SH Soap and well that was a silly thought of course I did. It lathered as always with SH great no problem there it applied densely and slickness was good in fact I'm wondering some of the old formulas are really really good and maybe we should get some of them back and not overly concentrate on this Tallow ingredient cause what ever Anthony was doing in the mixing and blending on some of these old soaps was brilliant, which brings me to think don't worry about Tallow just turn back the clock on these old formulas and maybe add the Silk ingredient and presto. So Anthony take a tip from this old dog piss off the Tallow go back in time and add some Silk ;)

This afternoon before going out ;)
Pre-Shave - Shower & Musgo Real Classic Scent Pre-Shave Oil Soap
Brush: - Whipped Dog Silvertip in Black Resin Handle 24/48mm
Lather: - Mitchell's Wool Fat
Razor: - Muhle R41 with a iKon Bamboo Handle
Blade: - Gillette Silver Blue (3)
Post Shave: - Alum Block / T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent / The Stray Whisker Aftershave Balm
Fragrance: - Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male EDT

Pre: Pears transparent soap
Razor: Gillette open comb
Blade: Voskhod (3)
Brush: Simpson Duke 2 "Pure"
Soap: Chiseled face "Trade Winds"
After: Alum, Myrsol Formula "C", Natio Balm

Slightly more comfortable shave this morning, despite the fact that the blade was a bit tuggy.
Definitely had less irritation post shave this morning. barely any infact.
Will see how an astra green goes in this next time.
Not too sure about the scent on the trade winds, wasn't really bad, but not a favourite.
All in all, a very pleasant shave this morning. :)

Brush: Chubby 2 Manchurian
Razor: RazoRock Wundabar
Blade: English Wilky
Soap: P&B Spitfire
A/S: Pashana Original

Another great lather with the Spitfire soap. Fantastic performance from the Chubby and great scent from the Pashana. The only let down was the Wundabar, more irritation and rough spots than I get with my other razors. Time to let this one go I think.

Very interesting that you say that about the Wunderbar. Others have said something similar. How efficient/aggressive is it?

Yeah there is quite a choice these days. The ikon 102 is my current favourite but I've just got an ikon B1 head too
I absolutely adore the B1 Slant. @Draco Noir shares the same sentiment as I do. Keen to hear your thoughts on the B1 Slant.
Very efficient. Aggression is similar to the Fasan double slant but nowhere near as smooth. It could be that my technique is to blame as most of the reviews I've read rate it very highly.
That's disappointing! I was going to try to gun for one when it comes back in stock!

Cold water shave
Soap: Shaver Heaven Barbershop
Brush: cheap synth
Face lather
Razor: GEM 1912 SE
Blade: GEM Personna (1)

After 2 late nights I was feeling under the weather (and I don't even drink) so I was a little "gun shy" about using a straight this morning. I put a fresh blade in the GEM. Smooth, close and a DFS. SE's are very close to the quality of a straight, just far easier to use and lacking the "macho" of a straight. With the mighty NQ Cowboys on TV tonight and the stadium only around 250m down the road it be another late night so it will be the SE again tomorrow morning.

Been very busy at work so I'm a little behind my SOTD posts.

Tuesday's Shave

Pre:
Shower
Razor: Kikubosho asymmetrical grind folding kamisori (AKA 'Firecracker')
Brush: Epsilon Butterscotch horse hair
Soap: MWF
After: Nivea AS Balm

I tend to like a challenge and so far I've been pretty successful with the straight however today I met my match. I tried to do an entire shave only using my left (non master) hand. The fact that I hadn't even tried to accomplish the same feat with my right hand didn't deter me in the slightest, nor did the fact I was using an asymmetrical grind razor. Yes, stupid I know.....in my head it seemed like a good idea at the time.

It's not that I set out to do it, it's just that I always start with the left and I part way though I thought why not continue with the left rather than swapping to the right. I didn't get very far and cut myself, although very mildly during the WTG pass on my right cheek. I abandoned my attempt as I knew that if I kept going it would be joined shortly thereafter with a whole lot more nicks.

I ended up finishing off the WTG pass with the right hand and leaving it at that. Getting my ambitions confused with my capabilities definitely put a slight dent into my normal enjoyment of a shave but it was enjoyable nonetheless.

Wednesday's Shave

Pre:
Shower
Razor: Kikubosho asymmetrical grind folding kamisori (AKA 'Firecracker')
Brush: Epsilon Butterscotch horse hair
Soap: Shaver Heaven - 1st Anniversary (Curtesy of @Draco Noir
After: Thayers Leamon Witch Hazel

I had been reflecting on Tuesday's shave and went in with a different mind set, rather than on a whim haphazardly trying to complete an entire shave using my left hand I began the shave with the mindset of focusing solely on doing the WTG pass with the left hand. I think knowing that it was going to be more of a challenge than I had originally anticipated held me in good stead and once I worked out how to best position the razor on the right side of my face with my left hand things fell into place. I managed to get the job done without nicking myself which I was very satisfying.

I decided not to press my luck and completed the XTG pass using both hands as usual.

Perhaps when I have consolidated and refined my technique I may revisit the challenge and potentially even try to take it further with XTG and ATG passes but this will not be any time soon.

FRAT:
Tried to complete a shave utilising only my left (non master) hand, nicked myself in the process and abandoned the idea for that shave. On the next shave was able to complete an entire WTG pass using only my left hand without nicking myself. While satisfying I won't be trying to repeat the process any time soon instead I will be focusing on refining my technique.
