Saturday being my favourite shaving day and with the day time temps slowly warming up I felt like a change. Not a great deal to say on the performance of the D R Harris range, most of us know they perform very well. Great scent and post shave feel.

Have a great Saturday shavers!

I'd love to see some of these different Razors some time, I know you have an exceptional collection there @Mark1966

Pre: Musgo Real Glyce Soap
Razor: iKon X3 Slant
Blade: Voskhod (1)
Brush: Shavemac 24mm 2 band
Soap: Mystic Waters Maestral
Aftershave: Alum, PAA Deja Fougere A/S

The first rule of a morning shave is no irritation and that was adhered to beautifully by the excellent combination of X3, Voskhod and Mystic Waters' slick lather. The all knowing alum confirmed I had an irritation/weeper free shave. The PAA splash does tingle for a little while. Not a menthol tingle, more a 'I think I may be sensitive to this' tingle in my lips. However, my skin doesn't come out in a rash, it doesn't itch and it leaves the skin feeling great. Scent is very strong (definitely not fougere) and I can only use it for a morning shave.

In amazement at the fact that I have shaved eight times with the same blade. The Phoenix & Beau is top tier soap without a doubt. Lovely slick lather. Enjoy your Saturday.

Coming from you, our resident B+B "A-List" shave photographer I am genuinely blushing. You take amazing pics man, all the post processing and so forth is way beyond me and my Nexus 5 phone camera!

Iv'e seen your pics over the years in the BB SOTD threads, not a week goes by without some uber Wolfman/Obscure Artisan hand crafted special edition with an entirely custom handle from an artisan I have rarely heard of appearing in your pics. The other guys there too, some of those pictures and the razors are just incredible - particularly the straights they post.

Birthday Shave!

Pre: Pears transparent soap
Razor: EJ DE89
Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock Black (3)
Brush: Simpson Duke 2 "Pure"
Soap: Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary
After: Alum, Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary A/S, The Stray Whisker After Balm

Decided to give the birthday gifts a run immediately. I've loved the scent of the 70th anniversary from the small sample I got at the Melbourne meet back in April.
Have been hinting strongly to Mrs Normie that I would like some very much. Thankfully, unlike my good self she takes hints very well! :D
The soap loads really well. I've not had a hard puck yet in my inventory, so it was a little strange to have it spin around while I was trying to load.
I'm sure this will stop soon when enough moisture gets into the puck, or some unused proto-lather works its way down beneath the puck.
All in all a good shave. The 7 O'Clock is still shaving well, and I gave it quite a workout this morning while I chased that BBS shave down for my birthday.
Probably shouldn't have tried as hard to achieve BBS - which I did in the end, but was hard to resist on a day like today. A little irritated under the neck, but @shavetheman's After Balm helped soothe that.
A very nice shave all in all. Looking forward to many more nice shaves from all this kit!
