There are shaves and then there are straight razor shaves. Sure I'm biased but 5 days grey barb wire growth in 2 passes with the first pass DFS+, my admiration for the straight blade is very high.

No blood, no irritation and a clean comfortable countenance.

Soap: Kokum - Tallow Lemon myrtle
Blade: Russian from 1957
Brush: Boar 20102 Omega

2 passes DFS+

Pre-Shave Musgo Real Glyce Soap
Brush Paladin Falstaff
Soap P&B Spitfire
Razor iKON X3 Slant on Bulldog handle
Blade PSI (3)
Post Shave Myrsol Plastic Shave

Probably had no need to shave tonight (thanks to the ridiculous iKON Tech) but when has that stopped anyone. The X3 continues to impress. It really is an excellent razor at a very tasty price. I highly recommend it. Coming from the Tech it wasn't an absolute BBS, but that was more down to technique. Very comfortable, smooth and close.

Brush: M7
Razor: Wilkinson Sticky
Blade: Vintage Wilky
Soap: OSP Spice Road
A/S: Euro Old Spice

I'll be reviewing the OSP soap after few uses but so far it's very impressive.

Pre-Shave Hot towel, Pears transparent soap
Brush Simpson Duke 2 "Pure"
Soap Shaver Heaven Peppermint Plus
Razor EJ DE89
Blade Gillette 7 O'Clock Black (2)
Post Shave Alum, Myrsol Formula "C", Natio calming balm

Brilliant shave tonight. Near BBS with 3 passes. Very little irritation as proven by the alum.
The 7 O'Clock blade performed tremendously on the 2nd iteration.
Looking very much forward to Saturday's shave... :D

Razor: Merkur Progress - 3.0 - Feather
Cream: St James of London - Sandalwood & Bergamot
Post: St James of London - Sandalwood & Bergamot Post Shave Gel
Aftershave: Fine American Blend

A Friday shave is a good shave, particularly when rounding off the week of Sandalwood. A fantastic lather from the SJOL, part of what you pay the money for along with it's very nice scent profile. The pairing of the Fine worked well, it has a nice sweetness that sits with the Bergamot particularly well despite it not being very long lasting. The SJOL post have balm on the other hand holds the wonderful scent for hours.

Pre-Shave: Shower
Razor: Merkur Heavy Classic 34С Razor
Blade: Voskhod (5)
Soap/Cream: Occams Original Shave Cream
Brush: Mühle Silvertip Fibre V2.0 Shaving Brush
ASB: The Fragrance Shop Balm - Aventus
Post-Routine: hot rinse, alum, cold rinse, balm

No photo today. :(
Finished my shave and realised I was using Voskhod blade for the fifth time. Many be not BBS, but definitely DFS. Happy with The Fragrance Shop Balms. May be not top shelf balm, but very-very good especially counting scents variety. Will buy more. And probably review it some time later.

How are you finding the Occam's original ?

Pre: Myrsol Antesol
Brush: Shavemac 177
Soap: B&M Vetyver Santal
Razor: iKon Slant
Blade: Vintage Polsilver
Post: alum, witch hazel, Eufros Jabonman Vetiver Haiti

Fantastic lather from the B&M. Expect nothing less. The O-Ring is getting bigger and bigger. I suspect to finish this pretty soon!

iKon Slant shaves like a beast. It doesn't have the same tight blade feel like the S1, but it does shaves like a champion. Not sure if it's just me, I feel like the Vintage Polsilver blades feel thicker?
Very smooth shave. Let's see how long this blade can last. Many thanks to @Osman and @Draco Noir for the recommendation.

Finished off with the fantastic balm. Vetiver is fantastic. I have the stirling vetiver witch hazel, I will give that a run next shave. Smells amazing and feels good.

Preshave: Musgo Real Glyce soap and Proraso sandalwood preshave cream
Razor: Weber Polished Head on an Ikon Hndle
Blade: Vintage Polsilver(7)
Brush: Kent BLK8
Soap: Czech and Speake Oxford and Cambridge
Post Shave: Natio Balm, Fine L'Orange Noir and Terre de Hermes EDP
Fantastic lather from this expensive soap but so worth it. Seven shaves from one blade and still so smooth with the sharpness declining in a predictable rate. Amazing smooth BBS shave after three passes. Ready for lunch with some gentlemen.

Pre: 4 g&t's and a couple of beers that somehow seemed to miss my face (mostly) and went directly into my mouth
Brush: Omega
Cream: Godrej menthol
Razor: slim
Blade: Vintage Personna
Post: Aqua Velva
Decided it's time to try and get my number down a bit so chose the soap/cream and aftershave i have the least of.
Long time between uses (over 144 days I'd imagine @Psmith) for the godrej and I realised why as soon as I started lathering. It has a somewhat chemical scent along with the menthol that isn't very pleasant on the nose.
Which is a shame really as I took a leaf out of someone here's book and really loaded up the brush to try and get through it a little quicker (yes I know that's cheating, but I wanted to see what 5g of cream would look like on a brush.
I can report back that it creates a stupid amount of lather. I had enough for a generous 3 pass shave, and then with a little re-lathering was able to get enough soap to cover my entire body and wash my hair!
No, I didn't shave anywhere other than usual before you ask @TomG.

This soap sure takes in HEAPS of water! I can just keep going and going. Wow, I really like it. Although my first pass was a tad dry, but the second and third pass keeps getting thicker. Great stuff here.

I'm doing an experiment, I'll be using the NOS Polsiver in different razors everyday. Second use to date, still feels amazingly sharp. One nick though, hmm, careless.

Finished off with the usual stuffs, plus the new AS I got from @filobiblic . Fantastic scent. Wow!

A/S: B&M Arctique

A new soap that I was curious about - Soap Smooth Frankincense and Myrrh. It is a hand-made tallow soap with an impressive list of goodies like lanolin, shea butter, and argan oil. Of further interest is their use of Kwas water rather than normal water. Quoting from the OEM website:
"Kvass is fermented beverage, very popular in Eastern Europe. We make our Kvass at home out of baked rye bread with honey. Before it's used in our soap recipe, we filter it, pasteurize it, add liquid silk, dilute it with distilled water."
Gotta say that the soap is really, really good. Lathers easily, and the consistency and performance on my first use suggests that it is a top shelf soap. A bit of a bargain at the price. My only small issue is the scent. I have no idea what Frankincense and Myrrh should smell like, but I get a mild, creamy, slightly sweet scent that reminds me of confectionery. Pleasant enough, but not as nice as some of my favourites.
A bit of banter with Eggs earlier in the evening inspired me to pull the Arctique out of the cupboard - it delivered its icy embrace yet again.
