Face Wash : Black Nubian Soap
Pre-Shave : Myrsol Emulsion
Brush : Thater 2-band
Soap : van Yulay Bay Rum
Razor : Wacker Barbier's Bride 6/8
After Shave : Alum, Top Seven Balm, St Johns Bay Rum
Another day, another great shave - thanks in no small part to new old-fashioned German quality. Thater + Wacker = close to perfection
Fragrance for the day is the intriguingly excellent St Johns Bay Rum. It impresses immediately as something special in Bay Rums. Think subtle and very classy rather than rough 'n' ready. Definitely a cut above the rest...
2. the handle: it is true, that the handle is not slippery - even when wet. But it is VERY slippery when lathered up...
Now some might ask, why I lather up my handles? Well it happens during my clean up, while with one hand I go over my face and with the other I buff around a bit. Being ambidextrous, I tend to change my razor hand quiet often, hence lathering up the handle...
Nice effect, @alfredus.
Pre-Shave: Cypriotian Olive/Argan Oil soap, cold water
Razor: Standard Razor (on loan from @boldsworth)
Blade: Ladas (2)
Brush: Paladin TSN LE
Lather: Mystic Water Lime
Post-shave: Alum, Barrister & Man Kyovu Original, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
First shave today with the Standard razor that @boldsworth generously loaned me. And of course I had to have some super hydrated A-game lather (picture here).
I must say I was quiet surprised - the razor is less efficient than I thought...it might even need a shaper blade, so time to dig out some other blades besides my 2 favourite Russians. The end result was quiet nice, no negative issues, just needed some more cleaning up, than I am used to after 4 passes. I am also pretty sure, that my technique/angle can be improved.
The 2 negative issues are:
1. the tiny screw - I would definitely glue mine into the top cap, but don't want to risk it whit a razor that is not mine.
2. the handle: it is true, that the handle is not slippery - even when wet. But it is VERY slippery when lathered up...

Great looking handle. TGN make terrific 2 band knots. [emoji106]It is a Wolf Whiskers with a TGN Finest 2 band. Oustanding knot and the custom handle is also very nice.

Thanks for sharing @silver, we genuinely can't keep up with demand and yep, a bay rum scent is currently being developed [emoji3]. I've got it pencilled in as 'Imperial Rum.
Pre: Myrsol Antesol
Brush: Shavemac 177
Soap: P&B Spitfire
Razor: ATT S1
Blade: Vintage Polsilver
Post: alum, witch hazel, TSW After Balm, Barberry Coast Havana splash
Rum: Diplomatico Reserva
Lather was nothing short of fantastic. After seeing @Mark1966 post of the day, I felt like I haven't used that soap for ages. Great work @Kerry@Phoenix&Beau for crafting this. Only downside is that the stock's always out on their site. I forgot the last release date and I missed out. However, there are indications that they are working on the Bay Rum scent at the moment, exciting times indeed. Ultra slick, moist, great scent, great post shave. I need to get more back up Spitfire tubs, along with their Sanskrit soap.
Three pass shave, blade doesn't feel as sharp as the first ever shave, but still sharp. I usually chuck blades after three uses. This vintage still seems to be going strong. Let's see how many shaves I can squeeze out of this blade. Love this razor, has become my daily driver for sure.
Finished off with the usual suspects, and bearing in mind that it's @Korbz Rum Day, only fitting to use the Havana splash. Honestly, not too impressed with the splash. Scent was average, a lot like a sweet rum, face feel was average. Probably will not restock it once it has run out.
The use of primary colours, the wicked edge of the straight, and the Thater emerging from the blackness...............Hey @TomG - thanks for the kind words, but why dangerous?
